Hello, most of this was written in February so what I would say to anyone who hasn’t joined please do as the sooner like minds come together the better (and your intro doesn’t have to be as long as this). I’ll be jumping over to the documentary thread after this which is what motivated me to join and speak up.

Over the Christmas holiday I was messing around with YouTube and found myself in the weird part and decided to watch some marriage proposal fails. In the comments of one ( I tried to go back and find it, to no avail) someone typed ‘one day men will get sick of making these elaborate wedding proposals’ or words to that effect. The reply was ‘It’s already happening google mgtow.’

So I did and I found this site and watched the Marcus A Brown video ‘When MGTOW becomes cool.’ In this video Erin Pizzey mentions Men Going Their Own Way, MGTOW. So I thought let me look up this Chinese Philosopher Ming Tao which made me realise the pronouciation of Mgtow.

How do we know you’re Mgtow and don’t want to get married?

I’m the youngest in a very old family. Every man in my family has been divorced at least once except two. So if there was ever a cull of Mgtow I’m sure I can get a Doctor’s note to explain why I can’t get married. One who is not blood related he arrived as part of a single mother package, he never married and his long term relationship (2 children) didn’t last. Which brings me to one man, let me give you five minutes to run around screaming Nawalt.

Sometime in the early 80’s this man was an aspiring creative type living in a bedsit in Central London and peeling onions waiting for his big break. This is when he met Mary Jane not the woman the drug. Family secrecy means I don’t know what additional drugs were involved, but he ended up sectioned therefore losing his job and bedsit. Here’s the part that doesn’t happen in today’s world, once ready to be discharged he’s homeless, unemployed and vulnerable due to previous drug use. His last home was in Central London and last job was in Central London, a new social housing block was being built in Central London so luckily he was eligible to and given a new 1 bedroom apartment in Central London. So here is a man in his 20’s living in prime Central London with his expenses paid for by the government. I guess there are three opportunities here use the hypergamy card to entertain women, work hard and buy the apartment from the government (remember it’s the 80’s) and build up on the profits or say I live in Central London the government pays for everything I have won the game of life and will spend my time enjoying my hobbies which is the option he took. The story is the divorce of his parents and being bullied (by boys and girls) at school really shook him up, but he is still there today in a £700k apartment having fun. Apart from a bad short term memory he’s okay.

So those are my examples growing up now approaching 30.  Try and convince me marriage a viable option and can last 40 years (you know get married at 30 we all die at 70). I’ve seen it all getting married because the other sister is married, to belong to a higher status family, to have a chance at claiming an estate. I don’t see couples, I see what is usually hypergamy and inevitable failures. I’ve been at a wedding where you could see the guest’s pessimism in the air and of course that marriage failed and the one it was competing with failed.

    So you’re a traumatised pessimist.

If that helps you sleep at night okay, but why would I want give away ‘half’ of what I have worked hard for? What’s funny is my Mum used to say get married to a woman on you your level so you know it’s the real thing. When I started my company she said make sure you get a pre-nup after she studied law she told me ‘you know pre-nups are useless!’ Now she tells me marriage is a business, that’s her way of stating the fantasy of marriage is lost. On the bright side it benefits her as I’m her only son, so keeping my finances intact can only be a good thing for her into old age. Hmm Not sure if planned or happy coincidence lol.

Sisters, don’t even get me started. I’ll be looking to leave the country before my Mum’s purse is dry and the man up for the children card is played.

So you’re going to be lonely.

I usually joke about buying brides from ebay just to irritate people. The truth is if I have a cellar full of Chateau d’Yquem, I won’t be worried about that.

    Thanks for reading this.

And here it is your moment of mgtow

Welcome! I admire your good sense. BTW, I’ve always if Château d’Yquem is as good as it’s made out to be. I know from bitter experience that long term relationships don’t work for me, but I do like a sip of wine now and then.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Chateau d’Yquem is great but there is a threshold where it doesn’t make much difference. If you’re already sipping decent Tokaji you shouldn’t lose any sleep over premier Chateau d’Yquem.

    P.S.
I have to praise the quality of the site. Keymaster and co didn’t just buy a ready made vbulletin forum. They’ve created a bespoke high end forum and keep adding to it. I have a friend who does web design and the first time he used after effects he made sure everybody knew about it so I’ll do my best to share some knowledge in my praise. First and foremost this site was created with care which can be seen in finishing touches such as the menu bar staying at the top of your screen as you scroll down the page. This is an extra touch that doesn’t have to be done to issue a ‘finished product’ but it has been done to improve our experience of the site. At the bottom of the page you see the last 10 topics and last 10 replies so you can see what’s going on without having to change tabs. Look at the channels page adding speakers to the side of the YouTube video to create that cinema effect haha. Again not essential to having a finished product but done to add to the experience. Now onto my favorite, when you select forums and you get the yellow loading circle followed by the squares (note how the images representing the topics change when you hit refresh) which animate as you scroll over them. Now you select your topic of choice and the loading page appears and splits to reveal the forum. All of these are touches of elegance that didn’t need to be made but were done. All of this is topped off with the graphics on the homepage. Also given the nature of this site it can’t really be used in a job applications so this has been made for us. We are dot com!

    P.P.S.
NeoUnplugged deleted his videos so it shows as zero videos on the channels page.
