I’m sure most of you by now have seen the movie Fight Club (with Brad Pitt & Edward Norton) by now. If you haven’t spoilers will be here so go ahead and watch it because it has a strong MGTOW theme.

The Correlation between fight club and MGTOW is very strong the way I see it. The members of fight club, don’t talk about fight club, but yet the numbers and chapters keep growing at what seems to be an exponential rate. While most MGTOWs (including myself) don’t talk about it, yet our numbers keep increasing. The cuts and wounds that the members of fight club display to society (family, peers, co-workers) in the movie are equivalent to the actions of the modern day MGTOW. Instead of the modern MGTOW displaying cuts and wounds, we essentially “show our allegiance” by not dating, cohabitating, marrying, having kids, etc.

The movie does have some great themes and quotes that definitely fit the MGTOW philosophy. Ignoring social norms and moving away from materialism are the biggest two that I see. I’ll leave this post with a few great Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) quotes from the movie…

Good post Green, yea, Fight Club is a big one around here, maybe the most universally liked movie by the guys here. S~~~, we sometimes call this place Fight Club because we are actually allowed to FIGHT here and nobody gets banned, rarely anyhow… A true gentleman’s club where a few swipes may be taken at each other from time to time but, for the most part, we just move on to the next thread and try not to drag s~~~ into em with our mates here from other threads…

Most guys here do not buy into what society tells us we should be, that is for sure.

Fight Club is certainly on my short list of all time favorite movies!

The movie is good, but the book is better.

Some of my favorite movie quotes come from FC. A MGTOW movie if I ever saw one.
