The question shouldn’t be “What do you do for sex?” The question should be, “What are you doing with your life, if you are not conforming?” And the answer is: following our own path to fulfill our own dreams. The question presupposes that if we weren’t having sex, there would be something wrong with our lives. If we pledged to never eat unhealthy foods would he ask, “What kind of cake do you have for your birthday?” as though you can’t have a birthday without cake. If we were a group of people that didn’t believe in smoking, would he ask, “What do you do for fun?” or “how do you socialize with others?” or even “What do you do for sex?” You don’t need to smoke to have fun or socialize, and you don’t need to have sex to have a worthwhile life. Trading your integrity, freedom, and the myriad of components of your life (e.g. friends, hobbies, career, values, goals) for sex makes so little sense that the interviewer’s question becomes absurd. When you add KM’s comment about the sex lives of married men, that’s icing on the cake.

I gathered from the interviewer’s tone that he didn’t take us very seriously. He seemed too bemused. I imagine that he just can’t picture life without sex being the ultimate question and goal. He’s like the guy who never wants to leave his small, isolated community and laughs at those who want to see other places. (What could you possibly see in London? What would you do for sleeping arrangements without your bed? How would you eat without your mother there to cook?).

When the interviewer asked about what the Cathedral is saying, KM correctly pointed out that it portrays men negatively. I think the more fundamental conflict between the Cathedral and MGTOW, though, is that the Cathedral says that a man’s greatest accomplishment is having sex, his greatest goal is to be in a relationship, and his worth is defined by how many women desire him; MGTOW states that a man’s great accomplishment is living life to the fullest; his greatest goals are set by himself; and his worth is defined by his integrity.
