A discussion on YouTube which came out of one dude arguing that women were superior for men, for procreating, led to a discussion where I argued in the discussion section that greateness isn’t found in the area of biology, but overcoming nature. It is meant to undercut arguments along the lines of “You can’t get laid!” and “Real men settle down and have families”. I argue that greatness isn’t found in that, but in the way of MGTOW (Going One’s Own Way).
Here is the video, if you are interested in watching:
I am tired of these “natural order” arguments thrown at MGTOWs to undermine their going their own way. Greatness is not found in compliance to the norm. By the way, you will see I am not hostile to marriage by itself, which I am not. I am hostile to those who argue every man MUST marry and so on. If a rare man can get a marriage to work, and is happy and so on, kudos to him. But does that mean everyone will? I don’t think so. I prefer to be more positive. I just give this last bit as a warning about the video (yes, it is one of my biases).

Great video on ‘what is greatness’ ..totally agree with your conclusions ..the topic also reminded me of another slightly different argument over the years that has been caused by Briffault’s Law.

Thanks. I just get tired of this slamming MGTOW for not “being normal” as a way to get them down, and get them to conform. I want that to be broken an Old Testament example, it is like they want to make Esau who sells his birthright for a bowl of soup. The normal people want others to be mundane, remain a crab in a bucket, rather than break free.
I think NeoEyeBelieve has called this moment temptation a “Cypher Moment”. Here is a video, I am watching as I posted this:

Hey your video turned out pretty good, good job!
There are obviously different marks of greatness, would reaching self actualization be considered greatness, or a step to greatness?
Or is social-actualization, such as contributing to Mgtow and benefiting society, considered greatness.
Just some food for thought, thanks for the video,

So, what qualities distinguish someone who is social-actualizing as opposed to self-actualizing? Abe Maslow suggested that a “peaker” (someone self-actualizing) had a tendency to get lost in the love of what they were doing. This losing oneself can also be prevalent in a social-actualizer, but what’s different is that this person’s purpose is focused on a collective good rather than just a personal good (although a longer discussion with the Ayn Rand-ers might suggest these are the same). So a “social peaker” focuses on systemic effects and social gains in their actualization.
Because in order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive.
Gotta love the whole biology and natural arguments. If people want biology and natural why the f~~~ are we taking care of women who either make s~~~ty choices in mates, or fail to keep a mate who is a successful provider around. Shouldn’t these women and their offspring be starving off so the strong and the smart can thrive? Pretty hypocritical how a man who doesn’t want to perform is biological/natural “role” is deemed a failure, but a woman who fails at hers is rewarded.
I do realize there is debates in nature vs culture and so on. I also see that someone can be self-actualized and maybe miss connections with others. Both of these debates do impact MGTOW, with you see some saying men can’t hold off from sexy, and speaking of what is natural vs what isn’t. Also, there is the concern about total selfish disconnect from humanity vs doing one’s own thing. Depending on what one’s real desires are, it can impact how you view MGTOW.
For myself, my interest is in personal empowerment, and the rising up above from natural states, when needed. Idea is to become better, not enslaved by anything. There is also a need to see about going one’s own way, and being able to connect with others sufficiently that you can at least do commerce to be able to be on your own. But, I believe MGTOW is what society even needs to find new ways. The old ways of conformity are not working.
Understand my biases with MGTOW. I go beyond just the avoid women bit, and look more to the personal freedom and empowerment aspect. I am interest in the what after you get freed from gynocentrism (I am now looking a “mangina” as a man who supports gynocentrism), and need to do what is next. My interest is in what one does with the freedom, not just the getting free.
And thanks for the positive feedback everyone. I will look to do better on these, but I tend to do extemporaneous talking when I do them, as I am not the best at reading a script. I do need to do more work preparing and will (that video was just something I made up as a response). My videos on techniques systems use to manipulate I hope will have a better outline done, and more work.

By the way, this is the original video, that led to the discussion that ended up with myself doing this video you see here:
I don’t really feel like giving Onion dude there any traffic though.
