I’ve been wanting to post a thread about this before, but could never correctly express my thoughts about it until I saw this video:

This video is spot on. Society worships and glorifies moms to no end. In households such as mine, the dad is so pussy-whipped beyond belief that he won’t even stand up for himself.

When I was little, I used to go up and “tell mom” on him because I was trained to do so. I thought it was normal.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had to ask my mom for permission to do things. Never my dad. Unless I was alone with him. And even then, he had to call my mom to get permission if it were something big.

She was the matriarch of my family. Whenever she wasn’t happy, the whole household wasn’t happy. Whenever she wanted to do something, she made damn sure that everyone else helped if she needed the help, otherwise, there would be constant dramatic fights.

And whenever my dad wanted to do something big that she didn’t want to do, she just threw a big f~~~ing fit until she got her way. It was like a child throwing a tantrum when they couldn’t get candy at a grocery store.

But, I’d just thought I’d share this video and my thoughts on this subject because I thought it would be a great topic to bring up.

Exactly. Dads deserve more credit than what they get from society. But, instead, they’re seen as tools for the mom to do whatever they want with.

Yeah, I had a very s~~~ty mother. So s~~~ty that my dad got full custody of us, and he is no f~~~ing saint himself. When I’ve told some people that I have no respect for my mom, they always seemed outraged. They told me s~~~ like, “But she gave birth to you! You have to respect her for that!” Mother f~~~er, just because someone gives birth to you doesn’t mean they can’t be a horrible person.

Honestly, I have no idea how she’s still alive. She smokes like a chimney, is an alcoholic, and smokes weed to boot. Needless to say I’m not going to give one f~~~ when she keels over.

Sorry to hear that brother. My mom was seriously f~~~ed up too (still is? Dunno, haven’t talked to her in a few years).

I’ve found that that still has a big impact on me now, in my mid-30s. But like any other challenge, i can make progress by learning about it & dedicating time/energy to it. I hope you can/have made progress too.

On another note @MathMarvel, if/when you feel like it, go ahead & post an intro. Always good to see more men improving themselves & their lives.

Glorious video. I said it somewhere here recently and I’ll say it again – breaking the, “kids belong with mum”, “kids are better off with mum” mentality that both men and women in our society have is essential. Our kids lives and futures depend on it.

A “baby shower” should not come a single day before a child’s 21st birthday. When the single mother can keep her daughter off the pole, not pregnant by her 15th birthday and making sure she doesn’t turn into Miley Cyrus…. or raise a son on death row.

That was one of the most annoying things about Facebook. You had to deal with that s~~~. Especially on Mother’s Day… It was never ending.

This kind of s~~~ is also what I hate about societies. At least western societies anyway…

I never see any kind of ad that promotes buying your dad an expensive gift on Father’s day.
