Okay, let me begin with a little background info.

I had been a Facebook member since 2008.

By 2013, I was starting to realize just how stupid and how much of a waste of my time it truly was. I had over 400 friends on my Facebook friends list. Only 40 of them did I happen to know personally. The rest were just “friends of a friend” or people from the groups that I would post in who would like my posts and friend-requested me. People I never even met before.

I was a member of 31 groups, and an “administrator” in three of them. Two-thirds of the groups were MGTOW-related, but for the sake of MGTOW and hoping to see some new and fresh opinions from members in those groups, it was like 90 percent of the reason why I stayed on Facebook for so long. The other 10 percent of the reason is because instead of picking up a phone and dialing my number or bothering to text me, my family/relatives would be scheduling their family reunion/holiday events all over Facebook as invites, and I never got to know how my sisters or brothers were doing without reading their posts.

By January of 2015, I decided I had enough. I began to remove myself from Facebook almost completely. At my peak years, I was spending 2-3 hours a day on this worthless social site. I had seen the light and how much of a waste of time it truly was. Hell, I’m almost 30 years old and instead of getting outside to enjoy the fresh air and going hiking, enjoying life, or catching up on more sleep than the average 5 hours a day I got after coming home from my job, I was burning daylight and the best years of my life on a f~~~ing website looking at stupid bathroom selfies, screenshots of some stupid dinner made by some family member, and catching up on numerous notifications to new posts made every day. What was I getting out of it? Absolutely nothing. By the end of January, I was spending only 10 minutes a day on Facebook, mostly spent on my work commute going to and from work on the city bus. By February, it was down to 5 minutes a day. I began quitting groups, and my friends list went down to 130.

One of the MGTOW admins in one of my few remaining groups got in an online chat with me and told me he was leaving Facebook for good because his account was being broken into by hackers and spammers. I told him I planned to be completely off by summer and focusing on other things. He agreed 100 percent with my idea, or so I thought. He quit Facebook, but was back again 2 days later saying that he “missed being with the boys and being able to socially connect”. He gave no other excuse for why he had decided to come back.

A couple of weeks ago, he made some post relating to one of our admins who had departed Facebook in his desire to go “ghost” from all social media. He said “how bad it was to lose a good MGTOW to such a decision”. I reminded him of my decision to still leave and he went completely f~~~ing ballistic. He sent me shaming messages about how I shouldn’t be abandoning my MGTOW brothers and that I was acting “irrational” in my decision to leave.

I laughed and told him that these guys are not my brothers, and hell, I barely even know what their f~~~ing names are, and what is so irrational about wanting to unplug from social media and go my own way instead of spending hours pouring over posts from “brothers” I don’t even know or chat with, and will never meet in person. I reminded him that HE left for his own reasons, which obviously weren’t good enough because he was back within 48 hours just because he missed all the attention.

This admin didn’t seem to like me for that. He posted back that he said “all he was going to say, and if you hate MGTOW so much, then just f~~~ing leave the group” and that he “didn’t appreciate my defeatist, anti-MGTOW attitude”. Apparently, his definition of MGTOW is just “guys who join my Facebook group and post regularly every hour” because within a few hours, he made a post threatening to kick out any member of the group who wasn’t going to post more often.

Another fellow admin asked me on messenger if I was going to “resolve the situation by just talking to the group owner and working it out with him”. I told him that it apparently wasn’t going to do any good, because he considered me a MGTOW-traitor for wanting to leave Facebook, and that the owner was acting like an attention-whore for DEMANDING that every member in his group start posting more or he’d throw them out. I said that was NOT the definition of MGTOW, and instead of us going our own way, we were expected to go HIS way and do things that HE wanted instead of letting us live our lives outside of Facebook. I said that I made my last post in that group and that I wasn’t going to debate him on this subject because I actually have a paying JOB to go to, and that I have a life outside of Facebook.

This f~~~ing bastard of an admin then sent to the group owner my ENTIRE conversation from Facebook messenger, and the owner gets p~~~ed off, calls me out with numerous insults and curses, says that I BETRAYED the MGTOW lifestyle, and that if I had a problem, I can f~~~ing leave the group. He says we need to talk RIGHT NOW…or else. Unfortunately for him, I was already at work on a 12-hour shift and didn’t get the memo until about 9 hours after he made the ultimatum. Because I was WORKING and not living on Facebook like he does, he removed me from my admin position and the admin who sent all my previous messages to the group owner is barraging me with numerous posts like, “How dare you not respond to us!”

2 days ago, I replied back to this idiot that how dare HE make all my previous messages with him public to the group owner, that what I said was CONFIDENTIAL, and that I have a f~~~ing job to do so I can pay the bills and that Facebook is NOT my job, and neither is being a group admin. He accused me of “ignoring the group and it’s needs” and being “selfish and lazy” by not responding earlier.

“I WAS AT WORK, YOU DUMBASS,” I posted. “I apparently don’t have as much free time as YOU do to check my phone every 2 f~~~ing minutes to look up Facebook notifications, and if you think I should focus more on a bunch of ingrates like you, you better think again.”

He said that running the MGTOW group WAS his job, and he challenged me to do better. I said, “La de f~~~ing DA. I hope Zuckerburg pays you a good living salary to run this group because I have a REAL job to worry about, and people like you are why I’m glad to be leaving Facebook.” I got him so p~~~ed off, he stopped the conversation and removed me from the group. And before I was removed, I caught a new post that this same admin was making. One that suggested that “every MGTOW should befriend at least ONE single mother so we can better understand their lives and their needs.”

5 or 6 people left the group in response to that post. I was removed just in time, obviously. Just in time to see this “MGTOW” group become sympathetic in being involved with single mothers.

MGTOW and Facebook just don’t mix, my fellow site members. If you think you’re staying on Facebook just to catch some new MGTOW material, think again. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen a MGTOW group on Facebook suddenly decide to become all PUA towards women and to “sympathize with their plight and lifestyles.” Try to cut all social media out of your lives. Use that extra time to do something good for yourself, or towards accessing this much-better group. Facebook truly isn’t worth it.

Posting generally can start with a plea for help with aftermath of a bad divorce or breakup.

Generally a good dose of red-pill is all that’s needed, and some good perspective.

In some rare instances these posters get addicted to the attention. Which is understandable really, because most men who feel they don’t matter will unlike women commit SUCCESSFUL suicide.

As for the brotherhood issue, it’s no different than anything else really, if you share an idea with someone else, in this regard they are your “brother” or “sister” in a way, concerning that idea. Although cults can take it too far.

Generally it’s one intro, then silence on this site. I don’t see too much attention whoring (notice the whore part, which is why it usually doesn’t happen with men.)

As for MGTOW on Facebook, you can’t successfully prevent females from joining. Which is why the purple pills may have been pulled back into giving sympathy to single mothers.

If that’s what happened maybe this group needed constant posting.

I used Facebook because of ONE reason.

Using it, results in less nagging than NOT using it.

My sisters, mother, (not my father) will constantly ask… why aren’t you on Facebook?

Aunts.. why aren’t you on Facebook?

Female cousins… why aren’t you on Facebook?

Female friends… why aren’t you on Facebook?

So after being berated, I decided to make an account. Now that I’ve assimilated and post once or twice a week, they’ve all but forgotten me.

Usually because I post mundane s~~~/rants or funnies.

    Viola…. no more pestering/nagging  bitches.

I’ve created and deleted an account at least twice now, and for the last time I managed to stay on for about seven months.

As you said OP, it became clear to me that the site was a complete waste of time, and in regards to scoring women that never happened because everything seems to be so cliquish. You’ll send a message, and they’ll end up sending a message to their friends on who to watch for, or just an overall attempt at spilling the beans on your desire to initiate contact of sorts.

I never felt comfortable logging in to be completely honest. It was as if I entered a mass surveillance program, and all of my moves were being tracked, and my emotions were effected in ways that I never imagined possible from a platform as such.

I’m really against all forms of social media.

Just to add, I also deleted my Facebook account in January of 2015.

I’m just so sorry that I became a “traitor of MGTOW” for not wanting to be on Facebook more with these f~~~ing pansies. LOL. Apparently, I should have quit my paying job and devote all my time and energy to a bunch of assholes that I don’t even know or care about just because “admins need to stick together and improve the group, no matter what happens to our personal life, or despite the fact that we need to pay the rent because Facebook comes first”.

Bunch of pathetic, whiny, purple-pill retards.

Guy sounds like a massive vagina. Sounds like you got out just as the boat was about to sink. Totally agree that Facebook really is not worth it.

I made a Facebook account so other people didn’t “squat” on my identity. I use Facebook maybe an hour a week.

I do like Facebook for keeping in touch with the family. I don’t have a score of people on my FB that I don’t know or have never met although there are a few.

I never get into anything on Facebook that I think could be used against me like MGTOW. I would much rather be here for conversations with MGTOW anyways.

Facebook is for girls and Manginas. If you take all that time you spent on it and did stuff with your hands like grow some food, do a bit of carpentry or learn to weld or use a soldering iron you will feel a whole lot better.

I agree. I just go to FB to look at the news, check out what is going with my interests, chat with a friend sometimes. If I had anything better to do, I probably would not go on much at all.

Literally my only use for Facebook is to keep in contact with 2 friends that are currently in the military. 1 being overseas, the other somewhere in the US, not sure where actually. Even then, last time i was on Facebook was maybe over a month ago. Ill hop on if i ever remember it exist and just see if either of em are online to chat some, then off and forgotten again. Anything past that just seems retarded to me.

I told them: “Because facebook is for worthless loser c~~~s who don’t have real lives.”

That stopped the nagging.  Stopped it dead.

Never been on facebook.  Never will be.  Never seen what it could possibly offer to justify spending time on it.

Facebook. A spider’s web of feminine / anti male nastiness.  Anything male assertive is likely to be hammered by the bloodsuckers and their extended network of monsters.  Thinking of joining Facebook  DON’T!

I have a facebook account…with nothing but conservative/right wing political stuff to annoy both my family and all the liberal asshats I went to school with years ago. I no longer get stupid ass invites to reunions and family get togethers to listen to a bunch of women p~~~ moan and whine.

They used to say ‘procrastination is the thief of time’. That should now be changed to ‘Facebook is the thief of time.’

One of the reasons I split with my wife was because she spent hours per day on Facebook, and would work herself into depression over how amazing everyone else’s life was. The final straw came when it turned out she was spending a lot of that time exchanging IMs with a man from her past.

I now only use it for 2-3 hours a week as part of the small business that I run.

I have a Facebook, but only because there are pictures of my niece and nephew who I don’t get to see often. Other than that? Really could leave it behind.

I’m still struggling with the decision of whether or not to actually DELETE my account.

Facebook is gay, and f~~~ing bulls~~~, but there are it’s positive moments. Like my younger 23-year old brother, who doesn’t have a phone, but because he has no internet service where he lives, he goes online at the local library and connects with me on there on when he can come over so that we can hang out. I delete my account, there’s no damn way we’ll be able to keep contact. And I never hear from my sisters except from whenever they post on there, and pictures of my cute nieces and nephews that I deeply miss.

No matter how bad the social media site has gotten to be, I perhaps wonder if I should just keep it to a minimum of 3 groups or so on my account just to browse through every now and then, delete my friends list down to my top 15 favorite people that I still maintain contact with every now and then, and limit my browsing to once or twice a week. I don’t know for sure, but I do know ONE thing: No more MGTOW groups from that site. Those f~~~ing admins are mostly just attention whores who twist MGTOW around to something unrecognizable, and they try to start fights with whoever disagrees with them. It’s no longer worth my time to check out those notifications anymore.

At the moment, I only have SEVEN groups left. Seven. And it used to be 31. So I’ve been deprogramming myself from that site a lot ever since January. And I haven’t made a post on my page since last December, and that was when I was saying, “F~~~ all of you for trying to send me stupid bulls~~~ Facebook game invites 10 times a day. The NEXT person who sends me any of this s~~~ will be BLOCKED. I don’t have any f~~~ing time to spend all day playing pathetic games on Facebook all day that are at a two-year old’s level like YOU people do.”

Four of the people who “liked” my post continued to send me game invites anyway. They had their asses removed from my friend’s list without hesitation. Haven’t gotten a game invite since early February. LOL.

If it keeps you in contact with your brother and its the only way I would stay on. If it keeps you up with family that’s great. But games and groups are a total waste of time unless they progress your life for the better. If they do add value to your life be a part of the group. If not say it was nice and goodbye.

I made a Facebook account so other people didn’t “squat” on my identity.

I would actually like some other random people to “squat” on my identity. Makes it more confusing for anyone trying to actually identify me.
