The irony is that most of these men never have and never will actually have sex. In a hardcore patriarchy, the top dog gets all the women and the underlings just support him in his position of power until such time as they can attempt to overthrow him and take his place.

All this talk of rape (and virgins in the afterlife, for that matter) is designed to feed that fantasy. In reality, being anything less than the top dog in such a system sucks for most of the men just as much as it does for the women.
