I don’t know if any of you’ve seen these ads around and I’m not here to peddle Dove products nor am I suddenly going to buy their products myself, lol but I discovered these ads last night and I’m glad to see this marketing towards men because all I ever see is marketing targeted towards empowering women.  I am glad to see that finally seeing masculinity as something positive.  I don’t know maybe its a bit nawalt and maybe boxing men as the protector, provider archetype is a bit trad, blue pill but I feel its at least a positive step towards regaining positive male identity.

I work in retail and i’m bombarded by marketing and I’ve noticed most are ads geared towards women.  They say there is a patriarchy at work but when a large percentage of ad goes to marketing to women than it kinds suggest where the real power is.  I also see charities geared towards a number of women’s causes and nothing for men. It bothers me as to how society views men, and I really really want to see more positive depictions.

Anyways thought i’d share and was wondering what the rest of you thought.

Men earn most of the money, women spend most of the money. Simply.

    Not exactly:

Women now control more than half of US personal wealth

    Enjoy the decline, fellas.

Well, just because they have it doesn’t mean they’re the ones who worked for it. The article may still be true, though, but I’m seriously doubting. The article says they “control” the wealth, not that they earn it.

    Anyway, we’re f~~~ed!

If these trends continue, the best opportunity for men is in constructing closet organizers. These strong empowered, independent and lonely women have nothing to spend money on but shoes and clothes. That’s where the GDP will be going, is already going. That and student loans for women (60%).

btw: Watch how they forgive student loan dept and transfer the payments to the whole country thus making us MGTOW guys basically pay for these princesses to keep a place in a college class that could have been filled by a male student.

Here’s feminist theory in practice, in reverse:

With the 60/40 split in attendance at college, girls/boys, women should cease to go to college until there is gender equality of outcome. If accepted they should decline acceptance and go into a fast food job so as to make a place for an, on average, harder working male student.

Right now there are women on college campuses saying this very thing to men in STEM fields. They are going up to the men in class and telling them to drop out and make a place for a female. They think just like I wrote above.

Soon inner cities will be men free zones with men only seen working behind enclosures. This will occur when the feminists get serious and pass a law against wolf whistling. Expect it in the first year of the Hillary presidency. She needs to give back to her constituents. Women are the majority, 51% and vote 70% democratic.

This is a tyranny of the majority.

The renowned essay On Liberty was written by the English philosopher John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) and published in 1859, the year in which Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species was published. On Liberty contains a rational justification of the freedom of the individual in opposition to the claims of the state to impose unlimited control, and has become a classic of libertarian philosophy.

In this essay Mill also warns of a second danger to liberty, which democracies are prone to, namely, the tyranny of the majority. In a representative democracy, if you can control the majority (and get them to vote for, and elect, your candidates) then you can control everyone (because your candidates, once “democratically elected”, will pass whatever laws are needed for this, as was done by Hitler’s agents in the 1930s in Nazi Germany and seems to be happening today in the U.S.A.).

Here’s what Mills, writing in the mid 1800’s around the time political feminism began at Seneca Falls, writes in the Introduction to On Liberty about the tyranny of the majority:

Like other tyrannies, the tyranny of the majority was at first, and is still vulgarly, held in dread, chiefly as operating through the acts of the public authorities. But reflecting persons perceived that when society is itself the tyrant — society collectively over the separate individuals who compose it — its means of tyrannizing are not restricted to the acts which it may do by the hands of its political functionaries. Society can and does execute its own mandates; and if it issues wrong mandates instead of right, or any mandates at all in things with which it ought not to meddle, it practices a social tyranny more formidable than many kinds of political oppression, since, though not usually upheld by such extreme penalties, it leaves fewer means of escape, penetrating much more deeply into the details of life, and enslaving the soul itself. Protection, therefore, against the tyranny of the magistrate is not enough; there needs protection also against the tyranny of the prevailing opinion and feeling, against the tendency of society to impose, by other means than civil penalties, its own ideas and practices as rules of conduct on those who dissent from them; to fetter the development and, if possible, prevent the formation of any individuality not in harmony with its ways, and compel all characters to fashion themselves upon the model of its own. There is a limit to the legitimate interference of collective opinion with individual independence; and to find that limit, and maintain it against encroachment, is as indispensable to a good condition of human affairs as protection against political despotism. — On Liberty, The Library of Liberal Arts edition, p.7.

The state already pays off college debt for single moms and theres no shortage of those. You see em everywhere now, its like they’re having babies as a vacation and or career choice. I seen this with my ex all she did was eat and sleep all day while she was pregnant, bitch made one phone call and ALL of her college debt was consolidated.

So Women control the majority of the wealth also manage the stores and corporations (which they should not be doing, men should) but men are the ones producing, if men decide to walk then there’ll be no product therefore no corporations or stores to manage basically the machine will break down. I feel men still hold the trump card they’re just waiting for the oppurtune time to use it. I could be wrong and in that case we’ll just have to make the best of it and bunker down.

    This thread is gold.

On the note of the ad… the whole “care makes a men stronger,” is like ultra mangina brainwashing…
But at the same time; at least it shows that men have a role when raising children and arnt just destructive brutes as its depicted in Mad Maxine

Yeah, they want to empower women to move the wealth from men to women, then suck all the wealth out of the women, because women buy horses~~~ and are more easily manipulated by consumer trends.

The woman don’t really have all of that wealth. They have jobs but not the wealth. It’s more easily explained like a flow of water. Money (Savings) are made by men and redistributed to women by either themselves or the state. Thus the river flows into the lake of women. Currently we are seeing a transition and the river is  flowing less and less to the lake of women due to the terrain. As this arises taxes like a dam will be put in place to try and get the money flowing back into the lake. This will not work. People will not work as much because if they do not get returns on their extra work. There is no motivation. Thus there will be no one to tax. Others will leave or live overseas more than half of the year. This with the looming contraction and trough the US government has been putting off (which will be like a massive earthquake) will lead the water flowing into unseen directions.

I have to laugh when I see a fetard financial advisor on the TV,of course she is a token-just there to appease the equal opportunity crowd. Most of this spending power is through credit card debt-borrowed money-and womin are the worst offenders. Cell phone companies know this the best and actively market to them.

It has been said that if Madison Avenue fell into the sea, womin would have us build it back up again.

Yes, the ad was cute.  However, it really had nothing to do with the qualities of the actual product.  Most ads, even for men’s products, are geared towards women to buy for the men in their lives.  When it comes to hygiene products, we men are creatures of habit.  We find something that works, and that is what we buy until the day we die.

How many of us wear Hanes products because that is what we wore when we were kids?  How many of us use Gillette Products because Gillette sent us a free sample when we graduated High School?  How many of us wear jeans and Tees because that is what we wore as children?  How many of us drive a Ford because our fathers drove Fords?  How many of us play XBox because we bought the first XBox years ago?  We are tribal and we are habit.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

I ended up getting a Masters Degree in Information, which, along with a BS degree in management, end up generating a student loan debt of around $45000.  This was in the 1990s.  I was paying it down, to like $32000, before I got let go from IBM in 2004.  I never recovered and the student loan debt is now over $70000 for me.  It kept compounding on me, as I wasn’t making enough to make the payments.  So, feel free to speak of how student loans, the only loans out there with this, are unable to be forgiven.  About every other loan out there can be, but not these, not even with bankruptcy.  And this will keep snowballing.

This is part of the rot and the lies in the system now.  I suggest people look deeper before they decide to pass judgement on this.  I do have to press on, I don’t have a choice.  But the worst mistake I had was going for the Masters Degree, in a field that now gets outsourced to India that I did for the money.  It was also trying to follow some “wise” advice that a college degree would get me freedom to be on my own.  Years later, nope.  It isn’t the powers that be get stuck with debt, it is individuals who society lied to about things.  Student loan debt is now larger than credit card debt.

What needs to happen is the student loans prolong need to get flushed, and there be the student aid get adjusted.  I would say extend high school 2 more years and get kids REAL marketable skills.

I say part of going one’s own way is to say no to blindly going to college.

Care makes you strong?  Ah, no.  Lifting heavy things makes you strong.  Dove is selling soap with a masculine sent.  Talk about that.

Yes, I like seeing products geared towards men, but soap is really a general neutral thing.  What this really is, as was stated, is marketing a men’s product to female buyers.

Going on a tangent here, but I think the word ‘strong’ is getting greatly misused lately. Strong means:

-having the power to move heavy weights or perform other physically demanding tasks.

-able to withstand great force or pressure.

I’m getting tired of someone referring to a woman as strong.  She’s not.  Perhaps the 2nd definition could apply, but most likely she’s going to cave under pressure….and she’s not lifting heavy things.

As for who spends the money, I am somewhat mixed on that.  If women stop spending so much money, men are not going to pick up the slack, and the economy will stagnate.  I think we’d then see an increase in prices for the things men already buy.  As well, we’ll surely see a tax increase to provide for these single mom’s.

    Ok. Then do it.
