So we all know that the pay gap is about 3% when you compare men and women at the same job, same skills, etc. The 20% gap is because women take easier, lower paying jobs in general.

What this article states is that women will value things other than pay rate and are more willing to trade pay for other benefits.

So, when you factor in job security, availability of part-time hours, fewer weekly hours, and higher earning potential, women are will to give up 7.3% MORE than a man is willing to give up. So, the wage gap SHOULD BE 7.3%, but it’s only 3%.

Men are being discriminated against. The pay gap should be larger. Women are getting a free ride and should be paid less.
