You people have completely lost the plot. Your iphones, flat screen TVs, new cars, bluray nonsense. And most of you don’t own a f~~~ing thing. The bank owns it. What a crock of superficial s~~~ and most of you bought all that to impress a piece of patch. Wow. Wake the f~~~ up. I’m typing this on a ten year old Nokia, I watch movies on VHS, I commute to my own business on a Chinese motorbike and when it rains, I hop into my ’72 Beetle. Guess what? All paid for. I’m not out to impress anyone. And in my half century of life, I’ve never changed. Didn’t escape from the Plantation because I was never in it. No wives or ex wives. No kids or ex kids. I went my own way the minute I could crawl.

I can’t understand the blind drivers either. So much distance and reaction time to hit the brakes full on… And at these low city speeds…

The smartphone problem has schooled me to become an “overskilled” and always speeding death rider going from full throttle to making even the ABS squeaking within milliseconds…

And to “catch” the drifting car after a brake maneuver.

I see only one body part of a pedestrian turning in my direction or just walking in the direction towards my path and I AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME that he or she carries a phone and will not pay attention…

And I slow down progressively. To hit the brakes full on and to have a lower stopping distance if I sense danger in the final meters to a possible impact.

And that has saved my from so many accidents.

All of my idiot pedestrians never got hit because “Reckless hell rider” was “slower that allowed” at the point of endangerment and hit the brakes fast and with full impact.

Now I see how pedestrians and other drivers hold their head in an angular fashion to look at their phone and I prepare for EVERYTHING.

Like slowing down before a curve to let the oncoming smartphone sleeper pass though and to have an escape to avoid a head on collision.

Driving has turned into some kind of video game in which you have to avoid getting shot down by random bullets.

About the actual topic though, I don’t really blame the smartphone or social media. They have benefits…that can be abused. In that way it’s like guns. They are neither good or bad, it’s how and when you use them they bring about the good and bad.
