For those of you unfamiliar with the joys of the Guardian, Zoe Williams is the worst of the worst–thought this might amuse you. You can just hear her fury. Basically her point is that older men don’t go for younger women because they’re hot but because they’re more admiring and compliant. Those toxic men can’t handle a *real* woman so they go after poor innocent little girls just to get a pathetic boost to their toxic egos! Shame on them! I am sooo triggered!

Set aside for a moment the eye-wateringly obvious biological point that all men are attracted to younger women because that’s when women’s fertility is at its peak. As someone who’s worked my way through a fair few women in their early 20s, I can confirm that she’s wrong about the admiration, too: girls that age tend to be massively c~~~y and full of themselves, so it’s not an option for men who want wide-eyed admiration.
