As a Gen-X’r, I am seeing a lot of unmarried childless female peers taking on the stench of desperation. Whether they be career women, or hipsters that partied and rode the c~~~ carousel, they all know they let the wall hit at full speed and men don’t even notice them any more. I have heard more than one repeatedly half jokingly admit that their future is being a cat lady. Now we are talking a very small number of childless women, maybe 10%, but with the millenials if 1/3 of men will not marry then that number is going to skyrocket. Schadenfreude…
