Ironically, with a cost-benefit-analysis gaming is still a better investment than marriage or LTRs though. If I was a young man I could see the attraction to computer gaming. Work less hours (less pay) but have more fun leisure time. Or get married and work long hours in a soul-destroying job to pay for kids and a mortgage while the land-whale wife gets ever larger eating cheese doodles watching Ellen (and playing the computer games you paid for) all day on the sofa while your boss tears you a new ass.

Everything in moderation though brothers, except marriage or relationships – those two are destructive.

LOL. I was a BIG gamer back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Now games have just gotten stupid. You pretty much HAVE to invest dozens of hours into the game just to be able to memorize all the damned combos! Not for me, thanks. I miss the days when all you had was an A & B button and a directional pad. Hence why I have emulators and still play the old games when I’ve got some spare time. But I don’t spend all my time playing video games. It’s a waste of life. Not shaming anyone that plays, but it just isn’t for me anymore.

Spot on. To be honest, I am one of those millennials that simply isn’t as motivated to “succeed” like my parents did. I don’t want a large house. I don’t want a six figure salary that requires 80 hours of work a week. And i don’t want kids or a soccer mom minivan or Disney vacations. I have no desire for 90% anything my parents did or wanted. All those things you listed, Stealthy, are what’s waiting for me in the corporate/academic world, and it does not make me feel good to be a part of it. Hence why i prefer simple living on my own terms. if that requires me to drop out of the plantation then so be it. i wont be missed.

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.
