He was paying millions of dollars a year in alimony to two ex c~~~s. Had he continued to live it was a possibility that his assets could have been depleted leaving nothing for his children.

One of the commenters said something that made everything click. He said Robin Williams suicide was an act of sacrifice for his children. He died for his children. His two ex c~~~s lost all further income from him. F~~~ yes! His children will benefit from his assets not the ex’s. His act of suicide could easily be a father’s final loving act for his children.
