I understand the rationale for asset allocation to be based on a starting assumption that both parties made an equal contribution to the overall quality of life, and finances are just one part of that overall quality of life. So, assets are split (basically) down the middle to keep quality of life even after the split.

This makes no sense to me. If we have an equal contribution to quality of life, and I am contributing 100% of the funds, then she must be contributing 100% of the sex and companionship. So if I must give her regular cash payments after she leaves, shouldn’t she be required to give me regular sex after she leaves? To keep things even?
