I have had the privlage of meeting 3 Medal of Honor recipients. (There all small like me !)They are Men who saved other Men. Like Shackelton did. No damsel BS.Greatness in Men does not have to come from what we can do for women.I have also met some of the Men they save. Unlike women,Men are capable of real gratitude.

I have had the privlage of meeting 3 Medal of Honor recipients.

I’ve been privileged to meet a few recipients too.

What struck me about them was how ordinary they appeared. That’s the real lesson concerning the MoH or any other military decoration; ordinary men earn them by their exemplary actions in extraordinary situations.

That greatness is inside all of us.

    You are not small.
    You are a man.
Greatness does not Come From what we can do for …women.
If a guy is great, women will latch onto him in time warp speed because of what he can do personally for them from their own selfish point of view.
It used to be that they wanted TO nest; now, they want THE nest.
How many female Medal of Honor recipients are there..One, over 150 years ago.
    One.
    Apparently 3400-1=number of male recipients.
    3399 vs. 1

Compare and contrast: Mary Walker vs. “it”:

    I never knew either,
I just looked it up minutes ago because I “knew” it had to be a gargantuan ratio of men vs. women. Didn’t know if it was zero or a low number.

The criteria for earning one has gone through significant changes since 1861. While Dr. Walker’s conduct was undoubtedly heroic and deserving of our nation’s recognition, she wouldn’t have been rewarded with the MoH today. Other “odd” 19th Century MoH awards included a man who saved a shipmate from drowning and a Civil War regiment whose soldiers got the medal simply for reenlisting.

Early in the 20th Century, the War Department finally regularized the criteria and dropped something over 900 names off the MoH rolls. Dr. Walker was one of them although her medal was later restored due to the political pandering.

Edit: Thanks for the kudos guys, but I used to teach a professional training module on military wards during my National Guard days. I researched all this stuff years ago as a way for my unit to meet DoD non-specialty training requirements.

    She didn’t.

It’s the CONGRESSIONAL Medal of Honor. It’s bestowed by Congress, not the President. She was originally “awarded” it under false pretense by corrupt President Johnson as a sop to the suffragettes. It was later rescinded as invalid, and rightly so, by Congress. Then that corrupt weenus President Carter “restored” it, which the president is NOT empowered to do, as a sop to the feminists. So it was never properly awarded and not actually restored. It can only be “restored” by another act of Congress.

So no, there are no female medal of honor recipients. Just 3399 men and one more feminist LIE.
