This is a girl who has yet to be required to submit to a google background check for a job she’s trying to get.  Someday, she’ll maybe figure it out, google her own name and stare into a screen loaded with all the results, realize that she is now unemployable outside of fast food… and blame the patriarchy for her lack of privacy.

I get where you are coming from, I understand but I respectfully disagree.

In my opinion she is doing this to make a name for herself, to get her name as a “crusader” of rights. This is why she will be either “Mattress Girl” or “Skankowicz” to me. The name we should be remembering is Paul Nungesser since he is the actual victim

The biggest problem with this is that her publicity stunt will garner fame for her.  Even though it’s proven that she lied, the young man will forever be a rapist, and the girl will likely get TV interviews and a job somewhere working comfortably in an office for some Feminist blog page making more money than I’ll ever see.

It’s something about a lie being accepted as the truth if enough people say it is, despite proof otherwise.  Typical of women, if it “feels good,” then it’s the truth.  If it doesn’t meet their emotional quota, then it’s a lie and must be buried.

There is the train of thought that whenever someone makes a claim such as this, they are either telling the truth, lying, or crazy.  Since it’s been proven that she isn’t telling the truth, it’s   You then have to look at her other behavior to make your best guess between lying and crazy.  I’m going with crazy.

It’s not unheard of for a person to misremember an event due to the emotions of the event.  She may honestly feel that she was raped, or perhaps the only way she can process her behavior is to play it back as rape in her head.  And honestly, I don’t want anyone to feel like they were raped, whether they were raped or not.  However, we are each responsible for our own crazy, and facts are still facts.  A person’s messed up view of reality doesn’t justify the behavior or damage to another human being.

As far as her future goes, I imagine she will land a job somewhere there is a need for feminist PR, but she will be fired for incompetency after a year when the PR image has worn off.
