Hey guys. In the spirit of all good MGTOWs i went for my motorcycle license this week. I did the MSF basic rider course w/road test waiver. ~2.5 days of instruction & i passed the test. So once i take care of some paperwork at the DMV i can add that “M Class” to my regular drivers license. Just in time for NYC summer.

So i’m thinking about buying my first (used) motorcycle. I’m open to suggestions, but a few i’m looking at now include the Ninja 650 or FZ-07. I like sport bikes. Harley-types, not so much. If price was no object it’d probably be a Ducati Monster. But, well, i want to spend less than $5k.

And now for the manginary…there were 11 guys in this class. And one woman (mid 30s, overweight, post-wall). Now i don’t especially care if this girl wants to ride a motorcycle. Get her license. Buy a bike. Do whatever. I don’t give a f~~~.

But the level of attention she got just for showing up was absurd. Rounds of applause every hour or two. “Great job X!” etc etc. She was pretty consistently the weakest rider, and she did have some experience riding before the class. And i say this in a class where 4 of the 12 riders had *NO* experience whatsoever (yours truly included).

You know who else got a round of applause? The 1 guy who fell off his bike during the road test. Everyone clapped when he got up (relatively) unscathed.

Anyway, 9 of the 12 students passed. Surprise surprise, cupcake didn’t make the cut. Good. There are enough s~~~ty drivers & motorcyclists out there.

Sounds like a lot of biker chicks. Thirty years or thirty miles of bad road. Probably a lesbian too, but not so much a lesbian that she won’t take advantage of male attention.

Par for the course. I’m surprised some of the guys failed, though. Most of those courses are trivially easy and only weed out the absolute worst of the worst.

@mattnyc, congratulations! A ninja 650 is good bike for the city with all the congestion, it’s not over powered, or under powered to suit your needs, and remember when going between stopped cars anything can happen from behind cars you don’t see, as a rule of thumb only go as fast as you want to hit something, like a door opening.

How about a quota system so she can go out and run into another wall.
These “biker chicks” are seriously confused. It was supposed to be a good looking in shape chick on the back of a guy’s scooter. Not a fat pig with her own motorcycle wondering why the guys aren’t dating her. I had a fat chick intermittently short out the wiring and kill the engine. It was hilarious. I’d get the bike restarted and whenever she’d get on it, it would die. It was a blind date for me, but the machine knew better.

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

Just something to keep in mind, a crotch rocket costs less up front, but the insurance is very expensive. A cruiser type bike is more expensive upfront, but cheaper on insurance. Harley’s keep their value the best.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

I still have about until August when I graduate from my college courses. Pretty much EVERY f~~~ing guy drools over the women in my classes whenever they see one. Even if it’s a fat ass land whale. Those moments p~~~ed me off the most even before I knew what MGTOW was.

Great to hear you got your license. I don’t know much about motorcycles either, but I’d love to get a motorcycle as well some day.

    I forgot to add: Congratulations.

As to first bikes, there are plenty of threads on that already here.

I’ve never understood why cagers seem compelled to open their doors in traffic jams. What do they think it will accomplish?

That being said, I rarely split lanes except in emergency situations. I got out of the habit when I got my first hack and find I just don’t do it any more even on two wheels.

For a first bike I’d suggest USED and mild. A 600 cc sport bike is very fast.
    Suggestions I have are:
Honda nighthawk 750. Big enough and sporty enough to entertain and not outgrow.
    Vulcan 800-900
    Shadow 750
    Suzuki bandit
    Suzuki katana
    Etc.

You want something you can plant your feet easily and not the power of a super sport. Buy used, buy it right, and you can ride for a few seasons for very little money. Then you can get what you really want (which may not be what you think it is right now).
