Match is a public company. The Federal Trade Commission is suing them. Apparently Match has been using fake profiles to make it look like there is someone interested in you to get you to pay for a subscription so you can talk to them.

Just one more way to take advantage of the addiction that is the blue pill. I guess PT Barnam was right, there is a sucker born every minute.

Oh, and Match Group also owns Tinder and OK Cupid, just an FYI.

BUT THE REAL QUESTION IS, When will the FTC take down Yelp once and for all. Most of us know that Yelp is the same type of Scam but instead of sexless, gullible men, they prey on Gullible, Insecure small business owners.

I enjoyed the Ashley Madison debacle, when it was found that men mostly used to talk to bots pretending to be women.

That basic bots could fool men shows how little intelligence is expected from women.

That men preferred the bots, showed how toxic real women have become.

Based on what I’ve seen in the code, the chat bots were fairly annoying. First of all, they weren’t exactly smart. Here’s a verbatim list, taken directly from the code, of the random messages that the chat bot was programmed to spew—probably the repeats are in there to make it more likely that the bot would say them:

‘how are you?’,

‘hey’,

‘Hey there’,

‘u busy?’,

‘you there?’,

‘any body home?’,

‘hows it going?’,

‘chat?’,

Once the man struck up a conversation, the bot would say things like this:

I’m sexy, discreet, and always up for kinky chat. Would also meet up in person if we get to know each other and think there might be a good connection. Does this sound intriguing?”

I once delved into the dating website realm 7 years ago. I joined a site and was immediately suspicious of it. I didn’t put up a profile pic out of fear that someone in my area would recognize me and out me to my peers for putting up an ad. I pictured someone who knew me and would recognize me and try to screw with me so that was my motivation for not putting up a profile pic. I was amazed at how many “hot” looking women there were in my town of 100K and they thought I was “sexy” even though I had no pic up. My spidey senses threw out a red flag on everything and decided to prove it to myself. I would get dozens of messages from women who decided that I was hot and they wanted to meet me but I couldn’t message them back because men can only communicate if they become “gold” members which required a credit card. They said it was to prove that I was over 18 but I knew better. I never upgraded to the gold level but I did create a profile claiming to be female. I was free to communicate with everyone and I would contact all the female profiles explaining how I went around the male “dating site tax” and while I was given props for being clever and resourceful by the women that I tried to message, my account was suspended after 2 days. So my original account continued to receive dozens of messages from hot, wet women who were dying to meet me so I changed my profile and under “my self description” I put the nastiest response I could. I even told prospective responders not to message me unless they were willing to do anal and swallow the nut when I was ready to blow and how involving my dog MUST be an option. I still received dozens of messages on how I should upgrade to the gold level so I can communicate to set up potential meets.
With a little research, any sane, logical man can conclude that dating websites are a scam that targets men. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I met my ex-wife on Match (back when online dating was still rather novel, and not a total dumpster fire like it is now). I would have been better off if I’d only talked to bots. (I had a paid membership, because none of the women on there would pay for their own — they’d either try to slip a personal email address past the filters in their profiles, or they’d “wink” and expect you to use your paid membership to initiate a message to which they could reply free).
