Marvel films and a buddy I go and see them with

I am a big fan of the MCU and I have a mate who I go and watch most of them with. We do the usual geek chats over them all and pick them all apart all of the time…you know the stuff that friends do

I have noticed that his wife has begun to show an interest in them. He has mentioned to me how she is starting to watch them with him and suggest her own theories on things….I know EXACTLY where this is going. I am about to be removed as a friend because she doesn’t like the fact that we have that interest together – no married man or BF is allowed to have friends who are interested in stuff that doesn’t involve them. She is going to fake an interest in these films and then once I just give up seeing them with him and talking about them, she will then stop pretending she is interested in them and go back to calling them crap and for losers (usual shaming language)

I am seeing Infinity Wars with him next week and funnily enough I have been complaining on here how the Mavrel films look like they are about to go Mad Max Fury Road so if that is the case, the timing could be perfect because I won’t want to go and see them anyway

off to see it again by myself this time on Thursday – I don’t mind going to the cinema by myself because it is a solo experience anyway. When I said to a woman at work I was off by myself this week I got an awwwwww response….I didn’t even bother explain it to her because women can’t do anything unless it is with someone else

and on topic – I went with the bloke in this thread and we had a good time. Went back to mine for some drinks and needless to say the texts from the “missus” kept flying in until the point where he left a lot earlier than expected…wasn’t surprising but just disappointing as always
