Be it some oriental esoterica or plain old boxing, find a martial art you like and do it. I have spoken.

Well I do mixed martial arts. Been doing it just over a year with a great group of guys. I would recommend it to anyone.

Also done judo for about a year when I was younger.

Started off doing Wing Chun was i was around 7 did it for around 10 years, then afterwards learned Savate, which really helped a lot with full contact fighting. for weaponry I attended Filipino Escrima classes, that was one of my favorites to learn. I owe it to  Martial arts, one in close hand to hand, the other to kicks and speed and weaponry.

I spent quite a few years learning karate and Jiu jitsu. Learning how to fight was instrumental in the development of my metaphorical backbone. I’m a big fan of krav maga these days for efficiency reasons. White Knights can get violent. All MGTOW should know how to defend themselves.

My greatest inspiration in life was an anime called dragonballz, I’m convinced I will find myself in the heart of battle and that someday I will be amongst the strongest fighters in the universe.

i have never learnt to fight and I’ve only had one real fight, 9 years ago….quite strange really.

    Reviving this thread.

I train in Aikido and recently have taken up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have experimented with Karate, Fencing, Boxing and Knife fighting.

Taking up a martial art is one of the best decisions you can make, in my humble opinion. If you’re into fitness, you’ll find that training in an art gives you a non-female reason to strength train.

I don’t train to get female attention or even to “stick it” to feminism. I train because I have some big boys that I have to throw and submit. Being fit, is a big help.

Who else trains and what do you train in?

Did Kajukenbo for 2-3 years now doing Filipino arnis (stick fighting) for 2 years now. Definitely like weapon based training/dirty boxing better..

Don’t depend on others to save you..Every MGTOW should be a lone warrior ready for anything life will throw at them.

I’ve never really felt the need to learn martial arts because of my height.

However, I am quite familiar with boxing, wrestling, karate and western kick boxing.

I first started with karate, but I didn’t like it too much due to the katas. Then, in my teenage years I did Muay Thai. I liked it, but I didn’t find it practical for street self-defense. Finally, I found a Krav Maga instructor who taught me street self-defense.

I concur. I began my journey with Krav Maga about 3 years ago along with lifting weights. It changed my life, boosted my confidence, changed me into a new man. I eventually achieved level 5, and around the same time I found olympic weight lifting. After level 5 there was not much else to learn in Krav Maga, and I focused entirely on oly lifting. Beginning learning a system of fighting changed my life.

I personally hate Asian martial arts, first of all I’m not Asian, I am of European decent, so I prefer historical fencing and European martial arts.
I did karate my entire teen years and it never made me a capable fighter. Now I’m more interested in systems that are combat tested, like SPEAR and
SCARS(Special Combat Aggressive Reactionary System). I’m currently practicing the SCARS system now with a friend, it’s very practical. We hope to go down to the SCARS Institute in the future to take the program.
