If you get married – the ‘state’ is the principal (senior) party in the ‘CON’-tract – you are a secondary (inferior) party – i.e. you hand over control to the state.

In common law there is no contract – in civil law there is a contract and the man is F***ed.

The state is only interested in a marriage when it breaks down. The state does nothing to encourage being a good spouse or sanction bad spouses. It does not give you rights to a spouse’s fertility or their care. It just moves in after a death or a divorce and transfers the man’s assets to the woman.

Why live as a state serf? Why does marriage even exist today. It confers no benefit on a man.

In the old days an English couple could be married by declaring themselves to be married before just one witness. They could similarly divorce by a verbal declaration made by either party. Then the church decided this led to too much immorality and cornered marriage but marriage was not a Christian thing at first. (At first the medieval Christian church refused to allow marriages inside church as it was a dirty sex agreement not a clean virtuous thing but later to cement their power they made their god a partner). The church and state them forged an unholy union when Henry the 8th took over the church and the rest of the world has more or less copied. At some point someone has to decide that marriage is not a holy institution, nor a state contract but a mutual agreement of intent that can be entered or broken as the parties wish. Until then it is slavery and it is eventually doomed.

Who the f~~~ has any part in a marriage apart from the couple? No gods, no states and no lords should interfere in a completely private thing.
