As a young American male, I have been in a few relationships and have had encounters with a decent selection of women. A few have really touched my heart, as I really cared for them and would do a lot to make the relationship work and to keep us both happy. However, I don’t think I ever could have seen myself marrying any of those people. In this day and age, I believe marriage is an outdated and useless institutionWhat do you all think of this article and the video about marriage? The writer considers it a form of slavery. Interesting perspective in my opinion.

I found some of his comments interesting. Perhaps as a way to not drown out half his audience he tends to frame the issue as equal on both sides, perhaps a bit worse for men, but both sides facing the same issues. I don’t agree with that. I do agree that for men marriage and children are a form of voluntary slavery. And I agree that the institution has lost its meaning in the current age. Paper rings, sometime things…
How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.
