We know it’s because of the herbivores, but no mention of them in the article.

Japanese say ‘I don’t’ to marriage in record numbersTOKYO — More Japanese people than ever are staying unwed throughout their lives, the 2015 national census shows, highlighting a leading cause of the country’s plunging birth rate.
Japan’s National Institute of Population and Social Security Research considers individuals to have spent their entire life single if they did not marry by age 50. The calculation is based on the average percentage of 45- to 49-year-olds and 50- to 54-year-olds who never married.
The percentage of such single men has increased 2.7 points since 2010 to 22.8%, while the figure for women rose 2.8 points to 13.4%. This means about one in four men and one in seven women remain unwed.
More men and women have been remaining single since the 1990s. Some women choose instead to focus on their careers, while a growing number of part-time and temp workers face trouble achieving enough financial security for marriage.
Japan had 16.84 million single-person households in 2015, accounting for 32.5% of the total. Only 28% of all households had two members, and just 18.3% had three. It is now more common in Japan to live alone than with a spouse or a child.
The trend away from marriage has fueled products and services aimed at single customers. More yakiniku barbecue restaurants set up individual hot plates at counter seats. Cleaning and laundry services offer more one-person plans.
Lower marriage rates impact birth rates. Only 12.7% of Japan’s population is younger than 15, less than half the proportion of those 65 and older. The country has the lowest proportion of children among the Group of Seven industrial leaders, compared with 19% in the U.S., 18.5% in France and 12.9% in Germany.
Labor is crucial for economic growth. Japan must incorporate more women and the elderly into the workforce if the nation hopes to achieve growth in the future.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.
Well, the feminists should be happy since there’s more back-breaking jobs for women. You go, girl!
"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)
Funny they state the two reasons as women choosing a career and men not making enough money because they have temp jobs. Those poor men who want to get married but their wallets aren’t big enough to attract a soul mate.
No mention of men tired of women’s crap. They still don’t get it.

Yeah lol…why should the size of a man’s wallet matter? Isn’t marriage about love?
This means about one in four men and one in seven women remain unwed.
I find this pretty interesting considering male/female are roughly 50/50 of the population. This tells me women are still desperate for marriage yet they have a shrinking population of blue pill idiots to pick from. The only way 25% of men never wed while only 14% of women never wed is with a pretty damn high divorce rate considering all divorced men will not remarry, or will not remarry to a never been wedded woman.
Some women choose instead to focus on their careers
I love this spin they put on it as well. They aren’t choosing to focus on their careers…they’re failing to find a higher earning male willing to marry them. All the “career” women I know are out riding the carousel like there is no tomorrow…its not until they hit the wall that blaming it on their career becomes the thing to do. I can’t even think of any women I know personally who have such a demanding career they have no time for a life outside of work. Men have been pursuing careers and having time for families for generations…why can’t women manage?
Plus I’m sure we all know guys that had decent jobs and a stay at home wife and kids. If these career women want a husband and kids but don’t want to give up their career they could very easily do what these guys do…find a partner who maybe isn’t making as much money and let them be the stay at home while they work a side job or go back to school. I’ve seen this done countless times where the man supports and the woman stays home…I know literally one couple where this was done in reverse out of hundreds of couples that I know. I know they won’t do it because women are generally greedy gold digging c~~~s, but just saying…if the true thing holding them back from families was careers they could very easily remedy that. Realistically WTF is the point of a high paying career if all it does is c~~~ block all your other life goals?
Let them burn. Hahahaha to bad bitches because there’s is only a hands full of guys with good income and most of them are taking or just living a mgtow life like in Japan, women’s are that one who’s suffer that most but is their own fault i said let them burn
I do my own experiment in tagged a social network where you. Can talk to women’s from all over that world and I’m telling you this japaneses bitches are. Self entitled c~~~s no wonder men’s in japan goin their own way. Thoses japaneses bitches like to talk to white men’s from America because they think all of them have a lot of resources
I wish something like this happen here in usa

Funny how they can say those two things in the same article and think nobody will notice.
If Japan has such a critical shortage of labor that it needs to dragoon women and the elderly into the workforce, then why is there a growing number of men forced to scrape by on temp jobs? Surely those men would be able to get real jobs if labor is in such short supply.
Something doesn’t add up here.
I want to take this time to give a heartfelt thanks to feminism, without your tireless effort to make women really show their toxic nature, I’d probably be in a marriage working myself to death. Thanks to you, I can relax, live within my means and just enjoy life.
Freedom lads, it is the stuff that fuels your dreams. I think that most young men suffer from the lack of foresight to see what their life can be. You think that your life in high school or college will be the best that it can ever get. Why? Why should that be the ceiling? Why should we be shackled by some archaic notion of taking care of a bunch of toxic women who suck the life out of us, toss us on the trash heap and then move on to the next victim?

i think businesses are preferring temp workers over full time hires to save on benefits and other payroll costs. Japanese businesses are also notorious for making everybody a manager of some kind to avoid paying overtime. Employees working 12 hour days is common. I use the term “work” loosely because they mostly just stand around waiting for their boss to leave.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.
It only makes sense. Who knows really, most people aren’t willing to openly talk about the real reasons they don’t get married. Even when they do, there’s both the left and right that are willing to ignore the words and invent their own reasons. Some might say:
-I don’t get married because the courts are unfair, women have it better, men get screwed ect.
And all the news says and reports is
-Economic hardship is the leading cause of the low marriage rate.
Although that being said, there are plenty of reasons not to get married, I would never get married even if I was a billionaire. Especially if I was a billionaire.
Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.
i think businesses are preferring temp workers over full time hires to save on benefits and other payroll costs.
But companies can only get away with that when there’s a surplus of available labor. When there’s a shortage of labor it commands a higher price, and so wages and benefits increase.
I think the article is missing the causality here, probably intentionally, and also committing a common form of deception in economic journalism.
I believe it has the causality wrong in that Japanese men aren’t getting married because they only have temp jobs. They only have temp jobs because they aren’t getting married. I think the truth is more that Japanese men are not seeing any benefit any more to being a married 80 hour a week salaryman wage slave. And when a man is unmarried and free and only supporting himself he can get by on a lot less work and have more time for himself. His own personal supply of labor is massively surplus to his needs, so he values it lower and works low hours temp jobs. The rest of his time he devotes to himself.
The deception in this article is that, like so much economic punditry, it intentionally confuses profits for the apex with economic prosperity. A large surplus of labor and consumers from a surplus population depresses wages and increases demand, and so increases profits. But the workers themselves are individually far far less wealthy. That is not a prosperous economy. But it benefits those at the top, and so that is what most bad economists and almost all economic journalists mistakenly call prosperity. With Japanese men using their personal surplus of labor for themselves by converting it to personal free time, they are not providing a surplus of labor to the economy as a whole, and so profits at the apex are suffering.
But that is not a Japanese man’s problem.
Labor is crucial for economic growth.
Not necessarily anymore robots are starting to take over that.
Japan must incorporate more women and the elderly into the workforce if the nation hopes to achieve growth in the future.
The women folk are all ready being milked dry for labor as is. The Elderly can’t do s~~~ because most of them are half dead and literally depleted. Far too little far to late, they are going to need a better plan than that line of crap.
A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
Not necessarily anymore robots are starting to take over that.
Why invest in experimental robotics when third world slave labor is so much cheaper?

Because slave labor can always rise up against the master. Also slave labor needs down time. Not so with robotics. The robot is going to work 24/7/365 and it isn’t going to rise up and demand unionization.

I don’t think you realize just how cheap and plentiful that slave labor is.
And “unionization”? Seriously? In countries where The Party is already “the union” and is already in on the game? And on the take.
Unions are a joke. When I was in a union they did practically nothing for me except for put all my retirement money into a pension fund that was 40% funded and dropping. The union = older guys forcing younger guys to fund their retirement they didn’t contribute enough to or manage properly…and people wonder why union numbers have been declining.
The salt in the wound is when they say the pension fund was underfunded and not doing well, yet they managed to donate millions of dollars to democrats every year…and almost every one of the blue collar union workers I know votes republican. Way to represent your workers!
No marriage-no kids. No Kids-no population increase. No Population increase- no economy. It seems the Japanese economy is in the cra&&per and the U.S. on its way to….same reason.
No marriage-no kids.
Huh? Where have you been living for the last 50 years?
Here are two words to contemplate: Single Mothers
National health service are increasingly covering artificial insemination. Women don’t need a husband to have children, women don’t even need a one-night stand to have children. All women need is health insurance – which men subsidize through taxes – and a sperm bank – to which enough men stupidly donate.
No Kids-no population increase.
That’s true at least.
No Population increase- no economy.
That’s very debatable. Very.
It seems the Japanese economy is in the cra&&per and the U.S. on its way to….same reason.
Japan’s economic problems exacerbated it’s birth rate drop, not the other way around.
As for the US, it has the highest fertility rate among the G8, it’s birth rate has remained relatively steady over the last two decades with the birth rate for non-Hispanic whites has actually increased since 1990, and an insane immigration policy keeps the population growing.
Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
I couldn’t be happier for the 28 percent of Japanese men who can’t be run through the marital treadmill.
As it is they already pay huge taxes and big bills for everything from rent to products. It holds true there as much as here that it’s better to keep your footprint small.
They can’t tax what you don’t make and it’s harder for a woman to get a court order for something that was never hers.
I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
