As the French say “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”
Below is an excerpt from the beginning of a chapter of a book of satire about the institution of marriage in France in the 1400s. The other 14 joys describe the same experiences that are reported here on the MGTOW forums. The book has been attributed to Antoine de la Salle (1385/6 – 1460/1)
    .
Antoine de La Salle The Fifteen Joys of Marriage
Translated from the French by Elizabeth Abbot

The tenth joy of marriage is when he, who is to marry, has put himself in the trap because he has seen other fish disporting themselves gaily inside – or it seems to him, and he has labored sore till he found the entrance and could be at his pleasure and delights, as we have said. And one may say he has been lured into the trap of marriage as the hunter lures wild ducks into the pond by means of certain trained birds or decoys, and gives them corn to eat; and the wild birds, who do naught buy fly over from river to river in search food that please them, imagine themselves to be very happy. Alack! They are not; for each of them is held by the foot and they are brought home in a basket one on top of the other in great suffering, which contrary to their nature. Many of the poor birds would be happy if they were free like the others can go from river to river and taste all sorts of food. But when they see the others feeding, as we have said, they join then in great flocks and in great haste, one ahead of the other, with the exception of some shrewd birds who have seen and heard of the pond and have not forgotten it, and have been afraid of it and have drawn back from it as from fire. For the poor birds who are in it have lost their freedom and will never recover it, but will remain perpetually in slavery.

If ever reassurance was needed that we men are on the righteous path, a 700 year old document is all the proof we need.

    Excellent post.

    Stay vigilant. They're everywhere.

Nice point. It’s a herding type instinct.

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

    A redpiller warning for sure.

If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.

Not much has changed in the last 150,000 years.

    Sovereignty above all else.
