Most guys don’t know this and most guys will go into marriage with this starry eyed notion that women actually love them. No idiot, women don’t love you, women love your utility. They love your ability to provide them with stuff. Rest assured when you cannot provide said utility or she finds a man who can provide her with greater utility she will dump your ass and move on – taking everything she can.

Which is why I tell my friends who are dumb enough to enter the institution of marriage –

If you are hell bent on doing this, never ever ever compromise on anything 50-50. Always make sure that any compromise in any situation leaves you with the upper hand. If she wants you to golf less or hang out with your friends less – the answer is always no. If she wants you to spend your free time buying her crap, the answer is always no. Basically be an unrelenting asshole, because the woman is never going to love you. The best you can hope for is respect.
