The fact that these fights are even staged is a deep cause for regret. How can society be so broken that such a contest is ever considered by either party. However the fact that they are staged may help to dispel the myth of women being able to do anything much at all.

I remember when I re-trained some Paras into my trade a couple of years ago. They were talking about how they had left because they feared a woman getting in and had seen the standards being lowered so that one eventually would. Women had already allowed to enter selection at that time but so far had always failed P company. The lads said they were disappointed that the women never got to mill in P company when all the men had to. I had said “is that because no man will fight a girl?” The lads sad “no way everyone would like to smash their faces in for getting an easy ride but they won’t let us because they fear what will happen to the women”. Looks like we need to take America’s lead here.

I think I may have been at that first fight. LOL

I was a Marine stationed in IRAQ in 2007. For one of those months, I was living in Abu GHarab (the former prison) (ARMY Area of Operation at the time) They needed help with patrols because of mortar attacks and VBIEDs. (car bombs)
They had a boxing ring and fights like that.

I remember thinking, “these fvcking ARMY people have it easy!” … Its true, the ARMY has has more resources and leisure set up in their Forward Operating Bases (FOBS). Marines do not have fun stuff or fancy chowhalls. But when we went to ARMY bases we ate like pigs LOL

Anyway, I believe that woman may have been an OFFICER! I do know this, during my stay on that Army FOB, one of the ARMY women got pregnant! She got knocked up while on deployment in Iraq! LOL. rolling my eyes.

Myself and the other Marine were NOT fobbits like them. We never stopped being in 8 hour shifts – patrol 8, guard 8, sleep 8 =24 hours. Did that for about 7 months. About every 10 days you get a day to go back behind the wire and do laundry and take a shower.

I will never forget Iraq and all the immense logistics and complicated teamwork and bravery and hardwork that it takes to invade a hostile shi!thole country like that and stay there and stand around…. LOL Stand around waiting for Iranian Sniper (who deliberately came there to try and kill Americans – fvck Iran – one literally killed a guy I knew)… patrolling around trashy ghettos kicking garbage that might have an Artillery Round strapped to a battery detonator…
