Another guy that decided he didn’t want to ‘Man Up’ and rather than sacrifice his sanity and sovereignty, he escaped.

    But wait. . .

Technically, this means that his wife is a victim. (of abandonment) LOL

He should be charged with first degree escape from slavery.

All a woman would have to do is divorce him and take his money. She could then live any way she wanted or latch onto another man and his money.
It’s a lot easier when you have a vagina.

Looks like someone literally escaped the plantation.

While Mr. Applegate’s story is amazing, where he’s living now is more amazing yet. I’d read about Emmaus in the past but didn’t realize everything it did until reading this story.

Emmaus is akin to Goodwill here the US. People can drop off used household goods, clothes, furniture, and the like which Emmaus will repair, resell, or recycle. Emmaus goes the extra step by providing housing for some of it’s work staff. As Mr. Applegate explains “I have a lovely room, I am able to work and I can still lead an active social life. I love it here – my life is officially back on track.” He’s in his 60s and slept “rough” for a decade despite working every day to avoid a hellish marriage. Emmaus gave him a chance to live like a human being again.

A month or so back we had a thread where the idea of communal living for men of all ages was mulled over. You’d have young men just starting out, men changing careers, men going through divorces, and old s~~~s like me who might need someone around every now and then. Each man would have a bedroom, bath, and sitting room while sharing a big kitchen, communal meals, library, gym, and another amenities.

I wonder if living arrangements like that may spring up organically as more and more men avoid dealing with women.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Very inspiring. A mans freedom exemplified. And not only is he at peace – but he’s turned some of his efforts on helping other homeless men. He still keeps active and works when many are retired. Further proof that a woman can only destroy a man if he lets her. Great story!

Something like that sounds great, but we all KNOW that women (and thus the system) will be against it for some stupid reason, or a couple.

Best to not make it known, stay under the radar, and build a haven for MEN ONLY in the woods or something, away from society yet close enough to get groceries (unless you plant your own veggies, fruits and hunt for meat).

You are describing a woman’s shelter. A place to go in an emergency like leaving a bad relationship and a place that can lend a had contacting resources for more permanent housing arrangements, work etc.

I agree, there need to be shelters for men. That a huge percentage of the homeless population is men we are clearly doing a good job for women.

Now it is men’s turn. Women will fight it at every turn because they want more and more women’s shelters and free housing.

Homeless shelters for men would take away feminist women’s studies majors income.

what we need is a walled courtyard farm with a big house and outbuildings for workshops etc. Then you just need rooms with small bathrooms in them and communal everything else. With enough outbuildings to house each mans bike or whatever. say about 12 men with a total policy of no wmen on premises.
