I used to follow my c~~~ in the marathons she walked. I’d get ahead of her with water and a snack. I don’t remember being thanked.

I used to pace her on a bicycle…26 miles to a former bike racer was hardly a ride, a slow riding pace, 13 mph is still faster than the fastest runners in the world. Riding at 4 or 5 mph is just above stall speed, so annoying.

then she moved on to triathalons. It used to p~~~ her off that I would ride a mountain bike and tow a trailer with a child in it and still be faster then her fancy tri bike, and then pull away from her. She and her tri friends hated being showed up like that.
