So a man goes on a date and he excuses himself to the restroom and then ditches the woman, and she is left with the tab. Interesting how the police automatically treat the woman as victims.

Was there some explicit agreement on who would pay for the meal?

The police just seem to assume its the male’s responsibility to pay for a dinner date.

If the woman had gotten up and excused herself to the bathroom and then ditched the guy, it would at best rate a snicker. If a man does it, there are victims.

Two women at different restaurants in Pasadena were allegedly victims of “dine-and-dash” dating by someone they met online, according to news reports.

Pasadena police told ABC News “there is an ongoing investigation into [the] activities” of a man named Paul Guadalupe Gonzales, 45, of Pasadena.

ABC News has tried repeatedly to contact Gonzales by phone but has so far been unable to reach him.

One woman was allegedly stuck with a $130 restaurant bill after, she said, her date “went all out,” ordering steak and shrimp on their recent date, KCBS reported Friday.

The man allegedly then claimed he needed to get a phone charger from his car and never returned, the woman told KCBS.

Another alleged victim told “Inside Edition” in a story published May 4 that she experienced a similar incident with a man she knew as “Mike” and whom she met online.

But in this case the restaurant manager called him out.

The woman, identified only as Carol in the story, said that when she arrived at the restaurant, her date was already eating and continued to order more, “Inside Edition” reported.

After he excused himself to go to the restroom, the manager allegedly recognized him from news reports, “Inside Edition” reported.

“I said, ‘You’re the notorious dine-and-dash dater,’ and he kind of looked perplexed. And I said, ‘That’s you, right?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Well, I’m not going to serve you,'” the manager, Justin Leyvas, said, according to the report.

The restaurant in Pasadena paid for Carol’s dinner, according to “Inside Edition.”

Pasadena police would not comment about possible charges involving these recent alleged incidents but did confirm to ABC News that there is on ongoing investigation into Gonzales’ activities.

“We are looking at him for other incidents of this nature,” police said. “We believe there are other victims who are afraid to come forward and we want them to please contact Pasadena police

How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

The saddest thing today is that most of those restraints that had men come in daily to eat their are starting to see more take out orders then ever. No one wants to deal with the waitress. Hell, most are just having the food delivered. Its almost no longer needed to have a restaurant since most folks prefer these days to order food delivered to them.

Its actually a great business plan. Its just you doing the cooking, and if you do hire or farm out delivery to amazon for example, or one of the other services, you just cook food as the orders come in.

Someone else does the deliver, and you don’t even pay for the extra costs for doing that.

Going out to eat use to be a thing that men did with family or freinds. But today? No one wants to be around other people. I use to love going up the street to the local pubs. But not any longer. It’s not even fun to hang out there. The food is actually pretty lousy, and you just don’t get the quality that you would from a delivery only place.

I wish there was more to it, but going out for me was really just to benefit the other person.

It was the environment. The atmosphere. The freinds, and the people you would meet. That’s no longer the case since just going out makes no sense. Is Dangerous to your legal health. And for the most part, is nothing but bad memories and misery.

Gone are the days of having a good time, or even visiting a new place. You don’t go there for good memories anymore. You stay away from them to prevent bad ones.

I mean I really feel horrible that I would rather go out to eat in Japan or halfway around the world then ever bother going to any local restaurant or pub here.

Going out to eat was pretty much solely for other people when men did it. My old boss just sold his restaurant since he realized the same thing. Take out was taking over.

And sadly, Disney is having to market more and more to adults since families with kids are starting to dry up. Hell, its so dangerous today just to HAVE a business that markets things to kids since just ONE little thing that a parent might be offended by can ruin the whole business.

I kind of feel sorry about it. But really, I’m happy with one day owning a bar that is strictly members only. Smoking, drinking and relaxing seem to be the way to spend my days.

I would rather have the members of the club pour their own, and enjoy the beverages and grill their own food on their own. Cooking your own food may be odd, but I think grilling it would be just about as fun as it gets when eating out for men anyway. I find it pretty boring to just go out to eat and not have anything to do there. But it seems like a fun thing for a club to do.

Well… If you’re gonna date, there’s an easy solution to this. Make it clear to the waiter/waitress without being obvious that you want separate checks. When you decide to leave, excuse yourself for some silly excuse, find said waiter/waitress and settle YOUR bill. Let her be responsible and pay her own s~~~. When they hand her the check for her meal, it’s on her. What’s she gonna do? Skip out? Now she’s the law breaker.
