Imagine sitting in a prison cell, being convicted of this while she’s out there f~~~ing other people. Athough, Old Bill is correct is his assessment that the man broke the law, the enforcement of this law essentially becomes an exercise in tyrannical justice.
Plato said that tyranny is the “fourth and worst disorder of a state. Tyrants lack the very faculty that is the instrument of judgment”
If one is to be convicted up to 15 yrs for this crime, at what point does one throw caution to the wind and proceed with vengeful retribution, to at least make the incarceration worthwhile

He did not break the law. The man stole from him, and he has a right to go into the house and get it back in my book.
The word Law and the word Feminism are the same, so no, I don’t see this as breaking any real law.
If recording without consent is breaking the law, then I am fine with every LEO spending fifteen years in jail for every offense.

He knows she’s cheating and he knows the who and where? Hire a private investigator and have them document it all. Get months of photos, movement logs, video, hotel registers, you name it. All of it that can be presented in court as opposed to an iPhone video you took while committing a B&E.
You also make all the other divorce preparations discussed here. You copy important papers, shed assets, set aside cash, rent storage units, burner phones, set up PO boxes, all of it.
You keep her fat, dumb, and happy up until the moment you file on the grounds of adultery. Serve her the papers at work while you change the locks. Cancel all shared credit cards, phone accounts, and insurance policies. Lock down all shared bank accounts. You’ve planned and prepared for it all, so all you need do is flip the switch.
There are no children, so she loses that advantage in court. You’ve proof of her adultery and you filed first, so the usual gynocentric legal advantages she has have been lessened. Even better, the hammer hit her from out of the blue, putting her on her back foot and messing with her head just as most women do to men in most divorces.

Everyone is living paycheck to paycheck. Whose got that kind of time or cash on hand? In theory, great advice. In practice, not possible for the common man. It’s like those people who say, “get a lawyer”. Yeah, like I have ten thousand bucks just lying around for some idiot who says he can’t assure I’ll win.
Also, like you said, Law is an ass. Collect the receipts to the heart’s content, etc… you still lose in divorce court. If right were on the altar and wrong were on the scaffold, the courts wouldn’t be sending him to jail for recording his wife cheating. The argument doesn’t hold up.

I don’t whine. You must be misinterpreting my tone of voice, which is easy to do using only text. I was making a statement with the emphatic conviction of an experienced man in command. It’s an easy mistake.

For the last time, he didn’t “walk in on” his wife f~~~ing her Chad. Try reading the article for once. It’s only been linked here a half dozen times or so. You make it sound like he had no suspicions, came home from work early, and found them f~~~ing on the kitchen floor.
He suspected she was cheating, used the tracking device on her phone to determine her location, drove to that location, entered a house he didn’t own or rent, entered the bedroom, and began recording the action with his cellphone.
He could have stopped to think during the ride over, he could have stopped to think before entering the house, he could have stopped to think before entering the bedroom.
Instead, he never bothered to think.

I read the article. When you think your wife is cheating, you do not think. You are emotional. It may be that you have been away from women for so long that this escapes you, and I commend you for your ability to stay away from the monstrous sex.

He opened an unlocked door. That’s “breaking” in the eyes of the law and, yes, the law is an ass.
As for the “heat of the moment” excuse that keeps getting trotted out here, I’ll point again to the several actions he took before entering the bedroom and the amount of time between turning on his wife’s phone’s locator and his entering the bedroom. Those actions and that time do not help his case.

Catching them off guard is priceless. I’ve actually been called ruthless as a shaming tactic.
Personally, I do not agree with sentence, but breaking and entering is worth at least 2-3 years in the clink IMHO.
Cheating c~~~s are a dime a dozen these days.
