Male intuition is an interesting thing. You have not me thinking. It is different from female intuition I believe.
Certainly it is there with danger. I think men have long had a relationship with danger and evolved to cope with it subconsciously while getting on with the task. I used to climb rocks and mountains and I still climb trees to earn a living. Every time my anchors have ripped out in a scenario where I would hit the ground, I have for one reason or another set an unlikely spare anchor that held. Don’t mistake me, I don’t make a habit of recklessness. I have spent over 25 years up high without more than a bruise to show for it. I have just happened to set the spare anchor at the right time. Many times I think “I don’t like this tree, something is wrong” and take a step back before diving in with the saw only to see it tear down the middle or spring back wildly when cut into.
Then there is also hunting which is another archetypal male scenario where a man should have evolved intuition -I can be bored and cold and distracted and not concentrating “time to stop looking at your phone now mate” says the voice. I look up slowly and there stands the deer in just the direction I first look.
It is also there with cheating or fickle women for sure again a man should have evolved to know if there is danger to his reproductive security.
What defines it? I think it is a prediction of what is happening or is going to happen, probably based on experience and observation of the circumstances. It is a sub conscious thing but still a logical thing. My brain has not consciously said “the bark and shoots of that branch are not quite the same as the others” or “the pre dawn light has shifted a notch and you heard the leaves rustle differently in the direction of a trail that you suspect to be a route from a food source back to cover” but that is probably what happened.
Try to force yourself into overtly cognitive processes though and you can only focus on that one point and the intuitive is lost. You need to be more relaxed and more present in yourself as opposed to concentrating on something for it to work best.
How does it differ from female intuition? is the interesting question. A woman knows when something is wrong with a person or if something bad is going to happen but she can’t usually act to avoid it except to say that it doesn’t feel right. If a woman gets a bad vibe about a man or a situation, she can do some pretty crazy things trying to act on her intuition when the wise woman just steps back to see what happens next. A woman also knows when conditions are positive with someone. How often do you start doing OK in your life for one reason or another (not necessarily financially) and before you know what some woman appears and wants a piece of you, whether or not you have another woman at the time, whether or not there is room for her in your life. Its like they just smell success on you. I think a woman is open to subconsciously sensing possibilities, particularly with people more than a man but not to actually subconsciously predicting outcomes, particularly while doing something difficult or dangerous.
I suppose an illustration would be a woman saying with a shudder “Oh I don’t want to drive tonight.” she may well stay in or get her husband to drive. A man will know he has to drive that night but will usually be going slower than normal on the right corner to see the accident or the ice.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own
