Some women just don’t get it. If Ghostbutches was such a great movie, why didn’t scores of women SPEND THEIR MONEY to see it? If women wanted to make a statement about empowerment, they’d buy enough movie tickets to make this movie a blockbuster. I’d say, selling up to $300,000,000 worth of tickets in the next month would make Ghostbutches profitable enough for a sequel. Women should either admit that the movie is a flop, admit they aren’t willing to put their money where their mouths are, or admit that male actors make movies more interesting and entertaining—which makes it easier for the movie studios and theater owners to stay in business. Seriously, how many men (and women, for that matter) are going to spend $10 to $15 to see Jane Bond?

    LONG ASS POST INCOMING
    TL;DR
Women are horribly inept at life, and I go into detail why they are by picking apart their arguments.

Love the way they frame the article, female victims.

Many male “fans” of the original (and even some actors) took to social media to voice their complaints over the reboot, arguing that, due to the gender of its stars, the movie wouldn’t be funny,

Why the f~~~ is “fans” in quotations? Believe it or not, Ghostbusters has a pretty decent “fan” base, that’s why they remade it, it’s called brand recognition. Oh, sorry, I meant “brand recognition” better write it that way so they can understand.

due to the gender of its stars, the movie wouldn’t be funny

Um, no. It’s not because of the gender, it’s because they’re remaking a classic and there will be scrutiny. Instead of doing a good job, you f~~~ed and garnered plenty of hate. Furthermore, the original had vision, direction, and some passion behind it whereas this new one brings f~~~ all to the mix. Here are some of the reasons these 26 women give for female remakes of movies taken from the articles.

I definitely think it’s time for Indiana Jones to be a woman. Why not?

Let someone be the female Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Let J. Law and Melissa McCarthy come together in a movie, please.

“I know it’s just recently been rebooted, but I’d like an all-lady turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Just because I’d really like to hear the defense that only *male* turtles can do ninja and eat pizza.”

let’s say the Indiana Jones films. Because I grew up wanting to marry Indy

The original was one of the first PG-13 movies I saw when I was younger and I always thought I’d be pretty great at battling aliens.

The Sandlot films! Because women — especially young girls — play sports, too

“I’d have to go with the Indiana Jones series, ’cause if it had been a bad-ass chick “fighting sword fights without a sword,” then maybe, just maybe, I would have followed my childhood dream of becoming an archeologist.”

    So, your best justifications are
    -Why not?
-Let’s get female versions of male actors because….? What does that add to the movie? F~~~ all.
-To specifically provoke antagonism, antagonism that isn’t rooted in “only males can” but that’s how you will construe it because your movie is a soulless cash grab that gets called out as such.
-You wanted to marry the movie’s protagonist. Okay? So? I’m not seeing the reason to remake?
-You’d be pretty good at battling aliens, so… why remake? Do you have some interesting spin to add? A cool new direction? Some great material that would fit right in to the cannon? No? Oh, you just think you’d be good at fighting aliens. I bet I’d be good at flying the starship enterprise, so I guess we should remake star trek using only hamsters. Why? Because reasons.
-Girls play sports too. So? Make a movie about female athletes.
-Because if the protagonist had been a woman, then I would have been an archaeologist. If you let a movie determine your entire career, then you should reexamine your life. Also, hate to break it to you, Indiana Jones is not an accurate representation of an archaeologist.

You see, when you pitch an idea for a movie, you usually have to convince people(the audience, producer, studio, investors) that the movie is worth seeing. What are you trying to achieve? Do you have a vision? What drives you? How are we going to differentiate this from the other movies out there? Make it stand out?

When men answer this, they give various answers, compelling answers. So when you come to the table with VAGINA as the answer to all these questions, then that doesn’t hold up against, ya know, actual reasons with some thought. What are some other themes at work here? All the main characters have vaginas is not a good enough answer. Believe it or not, they weren’t thinking “We better give all the characters a dick when making this movie” they were busy giving them character traits while women go “tada! Look at me! I have a vagina aren’t I great?”

Everything is a remake or rehash these days, and when you go digging up old movies, you had better have a good reason.
“Why are we rebooting this franchise?”
“To make all the main characters have a vagina.”
“How does that justify dropping millions of dollars on making a movie?”
    “……… MISOGYNY!”

And just to hammer this f~~~ing point home, I’ll give you an example off fans hating a movie based on people adding f~~~ all to the mix. Look at certain editions of Star Wars, where George Lucas added unnecessary CGI. It p~~~ed fans off, because it was unwanted, unneeded, didn’t add anything, and in fact took away from the older product. Just like these female remakes. They add f~~~ all the franchise. So maybe stop being professional victims and make a good f~~~ing movie.

You can only make so many movies before you run out of cash. Starve the beast and let the corpse rot.

Most movies these days are s~~~ and the audience is aware of it and staying home with Netflix or HBO go. Ghostbitches was scooby doo f~~~ing joe schuemacher bad visually and was lame audio and writing wise. No one wants to spend f~~~ing 8+ dollars on f~~~ing feminism the movie to boot. You current random pussy you are banging isn’t going to want to see a f~~~ing children’s movie either.

As much as I would laugh that it was because they all had c~~~s, it was actually the s~~~ Midnight’s Edge pointed out. Amy Pascal Paul Feig didn’t know what the f~~~ they were doing even though they are paid way too much money to not make stupid decisions like they did on a beloved franchise. It was dead at inception. It didn’t matter if they hired f~~~ing L-Law, that hot chick from Prince of Persia, that hot CIA bitch in X-Men first class, and Scarlet Johansen. It didn’t even matter if the graphics were not pre-school level. Paul Feig is a supreme beta cuck, and couldn’t pull an action movie out of his “ripe from prison rape” ass if his life and career depended on it.

Amy Pascal should be fired plain and simple. She not only helped flush so much money down the drain; she also probably did put a few decent and innocent people out of a job.

    * Ghostbusters was in development hell and couldn’t get off the ground.
    * Sony had a desire to have a “grrlpower” action franchise to pitch to empowered women, but wasn’t sure what to do.
    * Sony sees Ghostbusters and a woman executive pitches to PauL Feig to get on it. He does.
    * Train wreck happens. Executives can use mysogyny (amazing how this word comes up a misspelling in my browser) to CYA with this. The movie apparently showed the worst of pandering and also mixing it with insulting its target audience by doing callbacks to the original casts that cause the film to be totally divorced from the original.

The studios are making a very simple, very expensive mistake. They are conflating “who p~~~es away the most money?” with “who gets stuck paying for dates?” Start pandering to men again (and–oh, I don’t know–come up with an actual original, non-SJW preaching story again!) and return to profitability. Simple.

There are already TWO “female Indyana Jones “movies, they are called Tomb Raider 1 and 2.

Kill TV. TV DEAD. No more propaganda, I have no idea what kind of s~~~ they’re serving or how much it stinks!

Face Book? Never brought to live. Just from the articles here that dudes post and the horror stories of suicide by encouragement and coordinated hive like bullying I can see it’s a place of mental illness, like an insane asylum for the sociopath with narcissistic personality disorder, something reminiscent of Silent Hill.

The movie industry has apparently chosen to go the same course, just about every movie has a wonder c~~~ injected into the limelight always bumping or upping the star role. The Hollywould-do-anything homogenized batter whipped movies are a blend of all the different type movies. Every movie is a mixture of porno, queer, transgender, woman’s rights, anti gun, and Marxism, thousands of subliminal arrows all pointing their way, they’ve taken everything and made it transgender gay sprinkled with radical Marxist feminazi stick-a-dick-in-everything! I’m sick and tired of their insanity injected into EVERYTHING.

The fact that people pay for cable TV blows me on my ass! Paying to have liberal media to be pumped into your head? How sick is that? I don’t even want it for free! They can pay me and I still don’t want it.

My question to you? Should movies be boycotted the same way? I mean really, 50 f~~~ing years of gender blending emasculation isn’t enough? The “s~~~” is in every f~~~ing movie and I’m just tired of it!

Yea, I think I’m gonna kill movies to, I have an extensive collection and I’m gonna destroy the propaganda drenched movies I purchased and only watched once finding myself in the position of being p~~~ed off at another movie being propagandaized.

Get this, first time ever my cable company sends me a bill statement via email including a TV charge doubling my monthly bill to include TV. I’m waiting for the monthly bill in the mail to see if they reflect these new unauthorized charges. There will be hell to pay if the company took it upon itself to shove TV up my ass, then demand I pay?

I say kill TV and movies too. We’re f~~~ing up their s~~~ when we throw it back in their faces!

I’ve saved THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON MY TV PAYMENTS! enough to buy a decent used car or go skiing in a land far far away!

    Another thing:

Women don’t pay for dates, their husbands/boyfriends do. Those of which were the core fan base of these formerly male interests.

SJW’s don’t understand the concept of voting with their wallets. You do something because it’s the ‘right’ thing to do, not to make money.

Not a good audience to make money off of.

I stopped reading after “Ghostbusters is tracking to be a success.” Nothing successful about a movie that lost 100+ million.

When I see a movie I see myself as the lead. my fantasy. I slay the dragon, kill Hitler, etc.

That ain’t gonna work with a female lead.

Why would I spend money on that?

The fact that people pay for cable TV blows me on my ass!

    Me too!

Basic Comcast TV with base Internet is now at mid $130 dollars per month. I’ve heard of dolts paying Comcast around $250 a month. I love it when they ask me about something they saw on the Clinton News Network, Faux News, or some stupid reality show. I tell them I’m a cord cutter, and they act like it’s blasphemy.

How can you live like that they say?

I don’t know. A Netflix subscription is a great entertainment value. YouTube is loaded with killer documentaries. Over the air TV has a f~~~ load of channels. I am never exposed to SJW propaganda now. I am happy.

bingo. Be original. Fans will never follow you if you take something you love and try and twist it to something different. Gender isn’t the issue. Indiana Jones succeed not because it was played by a man, but because it was played by Harrison Ford. Because of how that character was portrayed and behaved. Once you start messing with that, you lose your audience. I believe they are trying to do another Indiana Jones, and whatever actor who tries to play the character has a big challenge ahead of him to duplicate what Harrison Ford did. Just as an example, Channing Tatum isn’t going to work, the same way Scarlett Johansson won’t work, but Chris Pratt might work.

Really, it’s much easier to create a new character with a new personality then try and replicate what already worked. If you want a female Indiana jones, then reboot Lara Croft, or find a good book with a good female lead, throw in a good actor, and make a movie out of that.

    Ok. Then do it.
