GOD I LOVE THE ALIEN FRANCHISE. I know its sort of weird to post these. I dont really have a major boner for Weaver or anything. She is a babe though and her movies are great. She is the 1st and last female hero I will ever love (the character, Im not some fanatic about the lady, shes just an actress). But it is fun to see how the aura of the Alien franchise has inspired so much art.

Naw man. I have never done any Ripley fan art myself but yeah YOU HAVE GOOD TASTE because that painting was my favorite too. Not sure if its a digital painting or not but its pretty clean and certainly the resemblance to Ripley is bullseye.

Its got that sloppy palette knife technique to it which is easy to accomplish. These sorts of paintings are easy to make and popular at art shows. I think its a digital painting though, so that makes it even more easy to make. Some dick with Art Software prolly didnt even freehand that sh!t, he prolly robbed the image and photobashed the sh!t out of it. It may have only taken 15 minutes LOL. Thats how fraudulent, modern software has made Fine Art… But there is always the possibility that someone really did crank this out in oil paint by hand, if so, BRAVO for the effort because its super cool.

Im just jealous I dont have $10,000 to spend on an entire digital art platform, new PC, badass printer, digital drawing tools etc… If I had the tools, I could cheat too! LOL. Never forget to appreciate REAL PAINTINGS when you come across them. The artist struggled with brushes, varnish, drying linseed oil and runny paint. He sat there, hands shaking, trying to blend fvcking tiny lines together and produce excellence without the aide of a damn Undo button, if you get it wrong in real life — its for keeps or you have to unfvck that mess. Not enough credit is giving to people who can actually paint. These c~~~s think they are so good at FIne Art… yet they havent ever produced any! THats my soap box though.

Digital Art is NOT REAL ART IMHO because it gives the “creator” immunity from error and non-agency from physical production. In other words, the software is a CHEAT and then it gets shat out of ink printer or worse, a canvas printer… Thats not a fvcking paitning and whoever clicked print is a not a fvcking artist. IMHO! LOL. They can call it art and sell it out of art show tents all they want, its wall furniture with no value. I would never pay good money for that trash.

You know GP, the last thing I painted on Canvas was stolen. After that? I just never bothered. SO I Print images to frame them. Since I only have Photo paper to work with, I have done some AMAZING print jobs where the image was a SUPER panoramic image where it would span at least 6 4×6 images like that of a bridge. Or I would use the full size photo paper and span the images on the multiple sheets, and then glue them all together seamlessly.

That was WORK MAN! May not be Painting with Oils or water color, but man was it HECK to make it look perfect.

Anyways, I hope you get to do more painting. And you really should showcase your work. I actually hope you do more Large Canvas/Cloth prints. I just LOVE the real 3d effect you can make with it.

My think is finding these kinds of Mass produced prints and installing LED’s to them. Man.. Lights are my art.

you can print giant photographs the size a door frame poster by simple using your neighborhood CVS or Walgreen automated booth. Stick your phone SD card in it or a USB stick, it uploads the photo, pick crop and size and print.

For like $25, you can make a photograph, (shiny gloss photo paper) crazy big size like 20 by 30 inch. Thats how I create the reference photo to freehand from.

You can also fine a Giclee printer. give them the image, their printer will sh!t out what seems to be an actual painting on canvas with texture and everything. Its possible bro. Whatever floats your boat. Imho, its like having a bunch of lawn ornaments in your front yard. LMao! looks like hell but someone outthere likes it
