A while back I had my testosterone levels checked. Normal levels for a 60-year-old man range from 300–1100. Mine was 140.
I have the usual symptons: overweight, lack of energy, general sluggishness, and no sex drive.
The doctor suggested hormone replacement therapy, but financial considerations might make that prohibitive, since I have no health insurance.
There are frequent advertisements on TV and radio for over-the-cover supplements such as Ageless Male and Andro 400. I am considering those.
Do any of you gentlemen suffer from my condition? If you have tried the supplements, how effective are they?

Exercise (at your age probably high intensity only once a week, the rest low intensity)
and good diet (avoid sugar, refined/processed foods, junk food. Eat lots of veggies.)Get those three things right and in time your hormones will self regulate, unless you have a serious problem, and things will be ok.

I have a friend who is a personal trainer. Mid 40’s, does modeling due to the six pack he always has. I told him about a friend who was diagnosed with low T. He said be careful about taking supplements. The reason is because we all have a ratio of T to estrogen. If you take supplement to up your T then your body will produce more estrogen to try to stay in balance. Then if you ever stop taking the supplements your body is still producing the higher level of estrogen. It becomes a bad cycle for your body. I don’t know for sure if he is right or not but he knows way more about that stuff than I do.
I would try the diet and exercise listed above first. Good luck.

This is a sign of Low Testosterone.
If you have “normal” Testosterone Levels you should have morning erections as well.
Eggs and high protein diets are great, but I don’t think they’re going to do much for someone with a low overall testosterone level of 140, but if the OP wants to give it a try for a couple/few months he has absolutely nothing to lose. If it works, it’s a lot easier and cheaper then Testosterone Replacement Treatment.

If you take supplement to up your T then your body will produce more estrogen to try to stay in balance.
Personally, I have never heard or read of ANY “supplements” that actually increase your Testosterone in any significant way.
If a Man increases his Testosterone levels by taking Pharmaceutical Grade Testosterone (IE: inject-able, creams) then it’s possible that his body will turn some of the “excess” Testosterone into Estrogen. This can be com-batted with yet another drug that will lower his Estrogen levels, or he can simply lower the dose of Testosterone he is taking.
Then if you ever stop taking the supplements your body is still producing the higher level of Estrogen
If you lower your Testosterone dose then your Estrogen should come down naturally. If for some reason, you were to eliminate your Testosterone Replacement then your Estrogen will come down, but so won’t your Testosterone level as well.

Cool.Bodily health is completely based on the quality of your cellular respiration. This is controlled by three factors:
(1) Sleeping well
(2) Eating and drinking well
(3) Exercising wellGoing your own way means making your own choices, but I actually wouldn’t recommend anything the pharmacists and doctors try to sell you. They’re interested in money, not in your health. Most medicines are going to have side effects that require MORE medicines and then you’re stuck taking 7 pills a day like half the people I know.
I won’t hijack the thread with detailed recommendations about how to get good sleep, what to eat and drink, and how to get good exercise (though I’m always happy to elaborate if you care to hear more). You can easily find all that information for FREE on the internet.
Also, I practice what I preach, so I KNOW it works from personal experience.

As diet is concerned, I would suggest broccoli and quinoa. They naturally increase your T-levels.

My Doc said if it gets so low your passing out we need to fix it otherwise it’s just a number. If you’re keeping you body mass and feel okay, it doesn’t need to be in the perfect range for a 20 year old.You need to do exercise and eat food that increases your T levels. That was the other advice he gave me. T-levels self adjust according to need.

Definitely try high protein, low sugar, low carbs and plenty of resistance training.
If all fails and you have to take testo, only injections give results. Orally administered testo, or the testo creams do nothing. It’s a marketing ploy. You will need to have testosterone injected by a doctor or nurse. It could be costly but if you need it, you need it.
As mentioned earlier, increased testo also naturally increases your own estrogen production.
That’s why bodybuilders who shoot testo also take estrogen blockers to prevent bitch t~~~ and excessive acne. I’m considering testo shots as well and have done some research.Good luck with whatever you decide mate.
Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. I bought quite an interesting Ebook from Amazon called ‘strong like bull’ It’s all about natural methods to raise your testosterone levels.
Some useful tips in there I thought. Some a bit tongue in cheek to make up the numbers probably lol
Some good takeaways ( as I think others have said )
– Some heavy resistance training
– Cut out sugar
– Green leafy vegetables, spinach / brocoli etc
– Sprints , intense cardio
– Vitamin D – i think this is a big one for a lot of peopleI think high protein , high vegetable diet with exercise one of the best
