    Hello guys,

It’s not an emergency but I genuinely consider losing more fat more effectively and, once it’s done, start working out to grow muscles. My BMI is around 23.3kg/m^2

I have a treadmill and I hit it 30min per week. I don’t know however if there is a proper use of the treadmill to lose belly fat, it doesn’t seem to be made for that.

Anyway I created this topic to get some pieces of advice or tips. If you have any of those, I’m ready to take them into consideration.

Your diet is 90% of the battle to lose weight, not exercise.

I lost 50 pounds in just 8 months a couple years ago by simply changing my diet. I had no time to go to the gym as I was typically working 60 hours a week at the time.

I overhauled my thinking about food by reading up on healthy eating. After gaining knowledge, I stopped drinking sodas, no processed foods and began to plan and cook all my meals.

I cook with only organics including the butter and spices I use. Interestingly enough, I ate as much as I wanted, averaged a stick of butter a week and still lost all that weight in a relatively short period of time.

My theory is that you can eat as much as you want ( and cooking with butter) as long as it’s organic.

Work in a good mix of organic vitamins and Minerals is very beneficial as it’s been proven that nutrient density has decreased dramatically over the last 30 years ( think GMO’s)

Some of the other benefits I’ve noticed from eating organics…

    1) I only need 6 hours of sleep and wake up ready to go. Before, I needed 8 and still woke up feeling tired.

    2) this is the most surprising- I haven’t gotten sick once since I changed to organics. No Flu, colds or allergies at all.

I could go on and on about tips on cooking and losing weight.

Just ask away if you have any questions about what I’ve spoken about, would be glad to pass along the knowledge..

    Hello.
First I would like to encourage you to post a proper introduction in the introduction section.
Something that has a little bit about you (don’t dox yourself), what brought you here, etc.

This year I have dropped some weight, I am down two jean sizes.

I wasn’t trying to lose weight, the weight loss was a side effect of the changes I have made. After landing here earlier this year I became inspired to improve myself after reading what others are doing.

    This is what I did.
    1. This is probably the biggie, I laid off the booze. Could be anything really. If you imbibe intoxicants, reduce the amount you consume.

    2. I changed what I ate. I didn’t go on a diet and I didn’t go on super healthy eating kick but I am eating better food.
Diets for weight loss only work short term.

    3. Exercise. I returned to a physical activity that I use to do in my younger days.
Personally I hate exercise for the sake of exercise. Which is why I don’t do it.
Find a physical activity that you enjoy.
    Some suggestions.
    Golf, without the cart.
    Hunting.
    Boxing.
    Rock climbing.
    etc…..

    Good luck

I find pre-cooking meals for the week on Sunday is great to stay on a diet. That way i have set portions in the fridge ready and don’t have to put any effort into cooking during the week. Also be careful about how fast you loose weight because a calorie defeciet f~~~s up your metabolism and you will just pile on the pounds as soon as you stop dieting. It’s much better to loose weight gradually over a year and let your body get used to it.

Liquorish helps stop cravings for sweet deserts, biscuits or chocolate.

I usually do P90X3 these days for a workout. Only 30 minutes a day with minimal equipment and it’s varied enough not to get boring.
