The battery in my classic s~~~ the bed. I also want to replace the screen inside the case. If anyone here is handy with electronic repair and up for the task. I plan on purchasing the parts soon and will happily compensate you for your time. If not, I’m gonna have to try to take it to a shop. This is not an easy project (unless you’ve opened up these ipods before) which is why I won’t touch it. I fked up my last one.

yeah, except I bought all the stuff to do work on my old one and broke the battery ribbon holder straight off the board itself. I still need to order a new board for my old one. Hence why I ain’t touching this one. I like the classic models (mine are 5th generation) because of their massive hard drive for storing music.

I think its much cheaper to buy new ones…The current chips are not designed to be user serviceable…I tried to fix an ipod once, followed the instructions….it got worse…The price for a newer, smaller chip with upgraded battery and software makes up for the price of a new player…

Plus, screen is expensive…Almost cost like a brand new ipod despite being an older screen…

I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...

As someone who knows how to repair electronics, just throw it away.
Get another one if you must.

Yup. They are so cheap that by the time you get it repaired you will be out almost as much as a new one. Still sucks when s~~~ like that happens. Hope you can get to your files and kick them over to the new device. Good luck.
