SH3llz, I went ahead and bought a Litecoin off coinbase. It sort of is, a pain in the ass. For one, the IRS is going to know you have them.

Here is trouble I’m having a hard time trying to understand. The whole cold wallet thing. Getting your actual coins (or their keys) off the exchanges and into your sock drawer. Ive watched Ventions videos and this stuff is really difficult to accomplish.

Many of the exchanges claim to be in American, like Coinbase, but actually its not in America. An places like Bitstamp, based in UK, also want your drivers license and they make it difficult to buy in. They will ask your SS#. I don’t mind paying taxes really, especially if I’m seeing a 8000% ROI but we’re definitely risking our money buying into this s~~~.

I think I’m going to limit my investments to $1000, knowing full well that I could end up paying a s~~~load of money to the IRS or completely losing all the money to a hacker or shady foreign exchange. Since I’m no computer guru and cant really catch on easily to the whole cold wallet, private keys and hordes of different exchanges worldwide, with as many different AltCoins out there. Its definetly confusing but I’m having fun with it. We’ll see. So far, I’m only $370 into this Bulls~~~ so I’m comfortable loosing that but I likely wont risk more that $1000.

Honestly, I’m near the point where I might regret even getting into it. I was a huge naysayer for years and I’ve learned to trust my 1st instinct about things. I’m neither rich or poor in real life. I’m doing okay. Do I really need to nurture a ridiculous belief that Ill get rich quick? Ill be okay anyway.

Second, the s~~~ is very confusing, invisible, risky, prone to corruption and speculating can be addictive. I don’t need to be checking the f~~~ing market everyday like a crack addict. I’m a recovered Alcoholic so I have addictive thinking. And everyday day I’m thinking about my measly $300 LOL. F~~~ it.

Anyway, its too late, I bought the litecoin. I’m waiting till I can get my $300 back but still have the full coin out there. I bought 1.15 litecoin. That’s another thing. You don’t have the option to just buy a full coin and get the codes and leave. You have limits to your amounts you can put in and it wont equal being able to buy a full coin.

Anyway, this is an ongoing learning curve. Its thrilling for sure (but so is gambling and its the same s~~~).

GravelPit, I took the plunge to. I also have addictive tendencies, but theres one thing about me i hate more. Doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result. I bought 1 coin. We’ll see what happens. But in just one afternoon its seems Im up $3.. LoL

Its going to be a wild ride in this new year. Overstock.com has announced they will be accepting LiteCoin in 2018. If amazon jumps in, we’ll know we made a good move.

All too often i second guess my gut and do nothing and miss opportunities. This time around im breaking my habits and making a move. I wish you well bro! Hears hoping we boths see some great results!

Right back at ya my man. I too have often second guessed, many of these times to my regret. Could’ve snatched up mad bitcoin at $80usd a few years ago. You can imagine how I feel about not doing it now. Hopefully I’ll get it right this time around.

Here is one of the reasons why Digital currencies are taking off.

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/irs-now-has-a-tool-to-unmask-bitcoin-tax-cheats

The IRS has approached bitcoin tax evasion in some more controversial ways in the past. In a legal order filed last November the IRS demanded the identities of all US users of the bitcoin exchange Coinbase over a three year period. The case is ongoing.

Now that we have real skin in the game, and the GOVERNMENT is monitoring this. Now you see what’s really going on here.

So here is the best thing.

Say if you have losses, (Or you don’t have any, ) you can claim this as a loss on your taxes.

The money to be made since the government is now recognized bitcoin as a currency, that you have to pay taxes on… Well. You just opened up pandora’s box.

They can’t stop you from using or take your money. So they can’t stop you or take the money you have unless they do it at gunpoint…

Chances are, if someone wants to rob you, the system has value.

    Even an idiot gets that.

What you guys are not getting is that soon, we will have real bitcoin traders. That is going to be the place to be. And I am telling you. Even if you can’t afford to buy in, you can watch the market, and be an insider to it.

Bitcoin, Litecoin etc. All have potential. As long as there is other fiat currency in the game, backed by others? AND THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TAX MONEY?

    Time to build empires boys.

And if you are a P~~~ed off with nothing to lose?

You just got your intro to what power really feels like. They can’t control your money, they can’t control you.

Get ready to F~~~ the system that brought you here.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Yep. I really can’t add onto this other than to say I am getting it ready on this end so that I can do the damage As soon as possible.

One thing I hate is the Waiting. I like my s~~~ to be instant,”I give you the money, you give me the goodies” atm level fast. I’m sure things will be speeding up, but right now I’m having to wait a week for my first transaction on Coinbase to go through. Still, once it goes through………I’m officially in the game. Still haven’t heard anything back from the ripple coin thing and that’s the one I’m watching the closest. Still, all things will come to he who waits, So I’ll wait. For now.

It’s difficult to get Ripple. You can’t buy it from Coinbase. I’m set up with Coinbase because its easy to do it as an American but I have verifications going through for Bitstamp and Binance. Bitstamp is supposedly in England and you can buy Ripple from there. Hopefully I will be able to do it soon.

Mickey, how do you get your Litecoins and Altcoins OFF the exchanges and onto paper in a sock drawer for LONG TERM storage? Do you do this? It seems like there is no way, but to be totally out in the open and attached to the exchanges permanently. This crap is so complicated. I just want to buy the alt coins, get their codes, and take them offline. Then, maybe five years from now, cash some in for major money.

Bitstamp? SWEET. Good looking out GravelPit. I have a feeling that if we can get ripple early, it’ll be a very good thing. Like you said, it’s kinda difficult to get right now. That won’t always be true though. This vid popped up saying how to get it via Coinbase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5JuYBirw94 I’m currently trying to get into bitstamp too so I’ll check out Binance.

EDIT: This vid might do an even better job.

I would not SIT on a digital currency. PERIOD. You got to watch it like a hawk. OR REALLY USE IT.

I am not sure I would consider it at this time Long term nest egg. But if you the gov on your ass, you got nothing to lose.

Dude talk to a real firm that will back you up with real advice on how to hide your wealth.

You need a firm that see’s these things since they end up writing the tax code, they know how to get around the laws. GET IT?

Bitstamp? SWEET. Good looking out GravelPit

Thanks for the video. I’m also on Binance and it looks like its gonna be easier to buy Ripple there. You start with some bitcoin in Coinbase, then send it to GDAX, then send it from there to Binance and buy the Ripple. I’m still kind of holding our for Bitstamp to verify me though because Id rather deal with an English exchange than an Asian one. The real question about all this; is once we buy a bunch of Litecoins and Ripples, how the f~~~ do we get our coins off the exchange, written on paper and resting safely in our sock drawers for the long run. I keep hearing from all the people, get your coins off the exchange. I don’t see how that is possible. Personally, I don’t plan to invest over $1000 so if I lose it all, oh freaking well, I knew the risk. But I’m not going to withdraw in to USD until I see massive gains, enough to pay off the IRS and still buy new cars and pay off debt…. Unless I’m taking home several 10’s of thousands, it aint worth trying to pull it out. But I would like to know how I can actually possess my coins, like I want the codes and I want them off the net until I’m ready to cash in. (I don’t see the point of that, these exchanges seem VERY secure). Anyway…

Wait, didn’t you just say the gov can track it and tax it?

Yes, so what? Take a look at Vention MGTOW, if you even know who he is (long time mgtows should know). He was buying bitcoins for $100 or so a few years ago. Say for instance, he put in $2000 back when bitcoin was $200 each. He would have purchased 10 Bitcoins. Today, those 10 bitcoins, @ $15,000 each, are worth $150,000. Let me repeat, an investment of $2000 is now worth $150,000. Even after he pays, say 60% in fees or federal taxes, that is still a net gain of $58,000 ! After watching the price of bitcoin, and mocking it for years, I’m not f~~~ing laughing anymore. Last year, I was already convinced that it really was worth getting into. Other people had been doing it for over 4 years and they still had their money and even made some money. I was too lazy to get in when I knew I should have and I missed the oppourtunity of a lifetime. That is not going to happen again. I have put $1000 into the pot (Altcoins/Bitcoin) and frankly I could care less if I get it back. The potential gain is plain to see and it is a massive gain. Like I said, I was the biggest naysayer of Bitcoin. Ive heard and even passed on all the criticisms. You cant win if you don’t play and now that I can see its worth playing and now that I understand the field is safer, I’m willing to risk some fiat currency.

would not SIT on a digital currency. PERIOD

WHY? A bunch of nerds who were wise a few years ago are now withdrawing $9000 everyday. They wake up in the morning and go the bank and withdraw $9000 every single day. They have piles of cash just laying around there house. I don’t know about you but I do not like working for a living, dealing with c~~~s and blue pill people in the city. Id like to retire at 35 years old and build a house in the country. When you see people making a return on investment that is 29 times what they put in (after losing over 50% to taxes or withdrawal fees), that is worth looking into.

an investment of $2000 is now worth $150,000.

And Vention was smart enough to learn how to store a cold wallet. This means that his bitcoins are not on the exchanges. Once he leaves America, and takes his Bitcoins with him (in the form of ridiculous pieces of paper) he can then go to some country where they don’t know wtf they’re doing with taxes and banks. He can then simple open a bank account in Cambodia, go on the internet, sell his bitcoins and deposit the full $150,000 (ten bitcoins) into his new bank account, then withdraw the money and close the account.

That is just 10 bitcoins = in excess of $150,000 easy, no taxes, cash in hand (since he would be out in the middle of nowhere Asia). That is only 10 coins. Some of these dudes have 100’s of damn Bitcoins. Your new full time job is to sell your bitcoins and get the cash in your hand.

Taxes be damned bro, I will pay them. If I’m putting in $1000 and getting $29000 back (after taxes) I’m going to do that, right here in the good old USA. I hope they enjoy the tax money, no problem. I will be enjoying my half as well in my new 4 bedroom house on the west Texas plains. All Ill do everyday is ride a dirtbike, shoot coyotes, eat Doritos and play Nintendo. 🙂

Again, they are checking up on their account everyday. That is what is making this market thrive.

Its when it goes into a savings mode that is going to be a problem. The big idea with bitcoins is NOT TO PAY TAXES. And have FREEDOM with your money that you can’t have with something like cash.

Again, any smart investor is going to have to keep an eye on his investment. And use that money he withdraws to invest again. This is the whole idea.

And Doritos Suck. Long Live Salt and VInegar!
