Lifeguard training looks easy on paper(the internet). The requirements on the internet are a 300meter swim and Two minutes of treading water. That is what they tell you. What they don’t tell you is that the 300meter swim is a fast paced freestyle or breast stroke and when you tread water for two minutes you must have your hands out of the water(which is why my head almost got submerged). You also practice different methods of saving drowning victims. Then you get CPR\First aid\AED training(mostly just watching videos about it). After that you must take two tests. One for Lifeguard certification and the other for CPR certification(they usually don’t fail people even when they get some answers wrong). After I took the two tests I got interviewed by one of the instructors because they wanted me to know what I got wrong and how to respond in one of those emergency situations. A day later I picked up my certifications(CPR and Lifeguarding). I then finished filling out the job application and turned it into city hall. Lifeguarding is a city government job just in case you all didn’t know. The youngest a lifeguard can be is 16 years old. Good luck if any of you want to go down the same temporary career path. It looks good on a persons resume. Especially when joining the military.

I'm married to the game, but she broke her vows.

Good work there buddy, I used to swim, now I sink like a rock. Military might be a good gig, with a proper trade available.
