Pretty good analysis. The fact versus emotion argument is strong. Some people have difficult times differentiating/explaining the dynamics between the various political camps within the US and TFM did a good job in clarifying all that.

I would think most MGTOW by virtue of MGTOW would fall into the libertarian camp.

I agree 100%. Libertarians believe that the government needs to stay out of our personal lives, and get the hell out of manipulating the economy and business (AKA, staying the hell out of the individuals wallet)..

The first one MGTOW will agree with, and a lot/most/all will agree with the government staying out of our wallets.

Yes, but libertarians also cling to their free market notions when it’s clear the markets are horribly gamed by the rich and powerful in business and government. They lecture everyone else from the point of view of living in never never land.

Are you suggesting the market is gamed by business working with government, or those two entities separately?

If 1) the free market is gamed by business & government together, then it truly isn’t free, is it? And most libertarians detest that sort of crony capitalism or corporatism; and 2) If it’s gamed by business alone, well, so what?; 3:) If it’s gamed by government alone, then 1) holds true.

Not that you can’t be a mgtow libertarian. I used to be one until I woke the f~~~ up when lightning struck me when george bush never heard of the Dubai Port World deal, and then the next day reported it was fully vetted. In the middle of the war on terror.

What does the above have to do with libertarian philosophy? GWB was a big government republican.

Completely free markets led to 16 hr workdays, child labor, hazardous working conditions, and perpetual indebtedness to the company store.

Markets should always be constrained inside a framework of other social considerations. Libertarianism is a pie-eyed idiotic notion, void of historical understanding.

Your response is void of historical understanding. It was Henry Ford who took it upon himself to pioneer the 40 hour work week to attract the best brightest workers to employ. Absent government intrusion and in systems of voluntary exchange, workers have power to determine which companies they work for and employers adjust their needs accordingly.

I believe people who want smaller government are selective in what they want less government in, as if reality can be tinkered as they wish.. What happens when you run with a value to its logical extreme, is that you end up more likely in never never land. It happens. Due to the sheer complexities and dependencies. and my lack of power, that is why I end up trying to avoid politics as much as possible. This “wisdom” makes you feel you have more power than you do..

We have more and more government, because people want the state to do something.
