I’m disappointed in Texas that this was allowed to happen. Then again, it’s in the ‘education wing’ so not terribly surprising.

The way I see it, she should not have been allowed to compete as a boy or girl since she was receiving sports enhancing drugs. It doesn’t matter how she feels or what she wants to be, taking testosterone is not allowed for men or women if they want to compete. If you’re going to allow this, then why not allow anyone the T boost because they want to be more beastly and aggressive? There are no principles here, none whatsoever.

And that’s the crux of the problem, lack of principles. This whole thing is simple. If you have male equipment, you compete with men. If you have female equipment, you compete with women. If you take a substance or are physical altered in a way that gives you a competitive advantage, then you are not allowed to compete. The end.

What you feel like, what you want, you’re genetic advantages or disadvantages…all irrelevant. There are plenty of kids out that there can’t play even though they want to. They learn to deal with it, because that’s life. That’s the whole reason sports exist in schools to begin with.
