Couldn’t agree more. Cap is of course right.
The thing many people don’t understand is that we have no real need of numbers, making the effort to recruit unnecessary, or sometimes even counterproductive. If we look at us as one collective, it seems we have a lower birth rate than society in general. With that comes lower taxable income base for govt over time (which can either turn into less public service, or an even higher tax pressure on the diminishing number of people). It also means less people to keep this consumtionist society up and running.
For me the best thing that could happen is everyone marrying and getting 3-4 kids and then divorcing. Except me. Yeah, I leech, I am after all a child of my time.

A small addendum to my brother Sith: You can not help most of the people.
I tried, but even my friends, who are fairly intelligent, are not open to basic knowledge about the nature of women, about how they respond better to negative criticism than fawning over them. (that was one example I used which I had seen the results of).
But as soon as I did, the shields went up and they went full denial mode. No matter what logic I used, it was immediate attack and locking themselves off.
