    Keeping One’s S~~~……..

Hello gentlemen, I hope you’re having a great day & for those in the upper part of the world, a great night.
    my question is this:
The laws have changed in Australia & despite my efforts of research I don’t know where things stand in relation to de facto, having now ended a relationship that although a couple years long (on and off) she never moved in etc.
In the past (ie the last time I got screwed 15 years ago ) it was pretty much that a court decided on key relationship elements (such as living together, duration, mutual accounts etc) to determine the De facto status – then its was just a big game of haggle between lawyers to keep my s~~~.
My understanding is that now there is a “Binding Financial Agreement” that can be put in place in Australia. We all know “Pre-nups” aren’t a legally recognised thing in Aus (our law is based on the UK system) but for me & perhaps other Aussies, I would really appreciate if anyone in the know (such as a lawyer) could bring myself & others up-to-date as to how it really works these days and the best ways to protect my hard earned assets against the bimbos that I like to bang on occasion.
Although we all understand that these situations are avoided by simply not playing the game, I though it may help others that maybe also want to be better informed as to the legalities.
    Thanking you in advance, Symo
Could I just hide my assets (Ie give them to my Mum) as I can always get them back with my power of attorney that she has granted me now that she is getting older. ????

    Symo,

I am not a lawyer, but I will do some research. I will try to help you brother. I am also living in Australia.

I found this website (http://www.familycourt.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/fcoaweb/family-law-matters/separation-and-divorce/defacto-relationships/) after typing into Google “defacto laws Australia”. If you look at the definition of a defacto relationship, according to this web site, it states that as per Section 4AA of the Family Law Act 1975, you and your former partner must have had a relationship as a couple living together on a genuine domestic basis.

I will come back and write some more…stay tuned….

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Many thanks for the advise guys & Mgtow_Mike – a big thanks, I will check the site out.
It’s a mine field out there trying to protect yourself. Bloody awful,
a bloke works his whole life for a little something & then spends twice the energy trying to keep it.
F~~~ing gold diggers & seriously, just for the occasional root, its simply isn’t worth it…
    Have a great day gentlemen!
