I’ve decided I wanted to move out of my home state I’m currently in. I live in the south west and I love it, but I want to move out of it because I want to be away from my family when I actually buy/build a home.
What I’m planning to do is start an aquaponics farm with at least three huge greenhouses on a large plot of land. Probably about 100 acres or so. I also plan on living like about 3 or 4 hours away from any major city.
But, I just wanted to ask more MGTOWs that actually know about how different states operate. I want to know which state is the least gynocentric. I’m also looking for a state that has very little if no income tax and low property taxes.
Any help would be appreciated.
@code Bunker
Thanks for the advice. I’m currently looking into that type of stuff because I just want to get away from large cities as it is. I hate working in the city and even living in it, especially after learning about this website.
The current areas I’m looking at are close to cities such as:
Anchorage, Alaska
Idaho Falls, Idaho
Dallas, Texas
I thought about where I wanted to be when I own my house and it definitely isn’t in the heart of the city or large cities for that matter.
Anonymous42All the northern states are least profitable and most expensive for aquaponics due to the short but long hours grow season, with the long and dark winter. southern regions make it possible for at least two or three harvests and no freezing temperatures. Tilapia is the fish of choice with aquaponic gardeners.
I wanted to do the same thing having a perennial flowing brook at my disposal.
Good luck, I think it’s a sustainable source of fresh vegetables and fish, and the cost is almost nothing. It’s become popular in arid regions as the sun shines constantly maximizing productivity. The water is continuously recycled as the plants remove the nitrates, a work of art if you ask me..

I think it’ll be great to do full time. And since all my products are gonna be growing in greenhouses, southern regions are the best for that also like you said.
And since sun is a big factor regarding this, I may end up doing this in more sunny rural areas like New Mexico as well.

I also think it’s a great work of art as well.
The marketing is the hard part…it always is.
I figured that much. But, the way I see it, if you’re not marketing a product, you’re marketing your own services to employers. I’d rather be my own employer and market products instead of myself.
Fish farm… solar panels… Anchorage, Alaska… Idaho Falls, Idaho…
You need to do a LOT MORE homework and not just on gynocentric issues.
Aquaponics is highly energy intensive and water has a tendency to freeze when the temperature gets too low, something that happens regularly in both Idaho Falls and Anchorage between October and April.
Also no matter their price, above roughly 40 degree latitude solar panels are poor sources of dependable electricity. You also have to factor in a location’s average cloud cover when examining solar. Greenhouses face many of the same problems solar panels have.
When you factor in latitude and cloud cover Anchorage, for example, has less than 60 hours of usable sunshine during December and less than 1200 hours during the entire year. While Idaho Falls is slightly better than Anchorage at ~2600 hours, portions of the US southwest average close to 4000.
That being said, aquaponics is far more commonly used than many people think. Among other things most of the salmon consumed in the US is “farm raised”, both the federal and state governments maintain hatcheries to stock game fish populations, and shellfish beds on both coasts are regularly seeded with farm raised clams and oysters. While there is an aquaponics industry serving serving several markets, the question whether small start-ups can find an economically viable niche.
Much like the many micro-breweries and wineries which have sprung up over the last decade or so, the only successful food production operations I know of are based on “specialist” or “artisan” products. For example, I know a man who raises goats to produce handmade cheeses he then ships daily to high end restaurants in Boston. Whether there is an aquaponics analog to that, I have no idea. You, on the other hand, need to be very damn sure about your market before raising fish.

hey gambit,
these guys know better than i do..
i was passing through new mexico and it was 16 degrees one morning..
just saying man..
that is some cold f~~~ing weather for what i thought was the dessert”You need to do a LOT MORE homework and not just on gynocentric issues.
I definitely will. I’ve started to gain more interested in farming/aquaponics over the last few years mainly because I don’t want to work for employers and I hate the typical corporate lifestyle. The very idea of it makes me want to vomit.
My main reason for wanting to do aquaponics is because I think that’s a very sustainable way of growing vegetables and fruits. However, I am open to raising lifestock as well.
You, on the other hand, need to be very damn sure about your market before raising fish.
I’ll be sure to research this topic a lot more before starting it for an actual career. As far as using solar panels, I’m only going to use them for extra power. I’d never use them as a primary source of power. I think that would be suicide for my business.

Damn, that’s extremely bad. I’ve known New Mexico to get cold before, but not that cold.
And f~~~, now I feel a little bit stupid for placing this thread in this section.

No, no, no, no, no. A thousand times NO.
You were smart to start this thread. Very smart.

i second that !

just stupid people who DON’T ask them when they should !!
you are among the best guys around gambit..no worries brother !Gambit,
Most of the towns in Texas are pretty relaxed, but stay away from the population centers and the capital. Dallas and Houston are two of the liberal and feminist havens, and Austin as the Capital is trying to turn the whole state into the next California.San Antonio is the closest to what you are looking for concerning a city low in gynocentrism. A huge and somewhat older Mexican population is a big contributor. The women are typical Southern, ending every second sentence with sweetie or hun.
Water will be your biggest concern down there though. Getting that much land with the isolation you crave requires going West and it’s so dry that you will have to contend with that. Solar is a really good option and Amarillo has the highest average wind speed in the country.
100 acres is actually a huge endeavor, this Summer if you have the ability you should see what you can do as a small scale experiment to see what level you could realistically support yourself on. I’m not trying to talk you out of anything. Hydroponics and Aquaponic permaculture can greatly outproduce conventional farming.
I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
There is really little point in trying California. We are currently in a drought that is at least 5 years long. We didn’t get enough rain this winter to fill our reservoirs. Not even close. California seems to be in one drought after another. I think water might be a real issue for you here.

It depends on what you want in a city if you want economic prospects (like a job) then it is best in the north east since there are about 5 cities there that are major (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Newark, New York city, and Boston). If you wanna get shot id try Chicago and Detroit, If you want a quiet life then try Alaska or Montana, And if you do not like water then try the whole state of California.
Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.
I absolutely is to think not the city that I lived in Tucson Arizona was totally gynocentric. I have come to understand after listening to so many of you that where I live in the southeast corner of the desert is not such a bad place in fact Sandman love this place
