Hello Gentlemen, I thought I would share some of my favorite Kung Fu movies and maybe get some recommendations to some Kung Fu I have not yet seen.

    My favorite list includes,

    “Drunken Master”, with Jacky Chan

    “Iron Monkey”, with Donnie Yen

“Ip Man” 1 and 2, also with Donnie Yen

    “The Raid” 1 and 2
It’s not exactly Kung Fu, but has great martial arts fighting.

“Kung Fu Hustle”, my most favorite.

The “Ip Man” movies, with Donnie Yen are about a real Kung Fu Master of Wing Chun(a type of Kung Fu). Ip Man or Yip Man as he was called, was also a teacher of the great Bruce Lee. I highly recommend “Ip Man” movies, they are awesome.

My all time favorite, “Kung Fu Hustle”, isn’t as realistic as “Ip Man”, but has great fight scenes with a lot of special effects. Like “Drunken Master”, it has some comedy mixed in, that will make you laugh. The main character is Sing, played by Stephen Chow. Sing, a below average criminal, is a likable sort with a good story. It is a must see if your into these types of movies. Here is a clip of one of the earlier fight scenes in “Kung Fu Hustle”, it’s about 4 minutes.

Well that is just a few of my favorites. What are some other good ones that I Missed?

The old Chan stuff that was made in China when he was young is the best. The fight scenes are awesome and the stunts are insane, no stunt doubles as well. Also, none of the fight stuff was ever sped up as far as I know, he and those he fought were just fast as f~~~.

Here he is with Benny “The Jet” Urquidez.

I wouldn’t judge you for that Carnage. I liked Kung Fu Panda as well.

It’s a little off topic, but how is that twisted alien parasite thingy doing? Are you two still getting along?

Agreed, Pat Morita, aka Mr. Miyagi is unforgettable to my generation. We were lucky to have such great movies growing up.

Excellent choice in films. I agree. There were two Drunken Master movies featuring Jackie Chan.

The first one, he gets kicked out of his Father’s school for misbehaving. He meets the old Drunken Master and becomes his Pupil. Great movie.

The second one, his Father is the Master and forbids him from Drunken Boxing. This one is better produced and the special effects are great.

The Ip Man films with Donnie Yen are great Action films and it was cool to see Wing Chun for a change. Great films.

Also Bruce Lee movies are great. The Plots are usually pretty bad, but Bruce is just so much fun to watch.

Good to hear from you Wizard’s Pupil. I love the nunchucks in that scene. Nunchucks are so dangerous to the user and Bruce Lee makes it look so easy.

Thanks for clarifying that there are two Drunken Master movies. I think I’ve only seen one. I will check it out.

This is, without a doubt, the greatest Kung Fu movie you’ve never seen (30 minutes long, linked below):

Thanks for sharing Can’t Stump Trump
Well after watching that, I think my favorite of Kung Fu Hustle still stands. You were right, it might have been the best Kung fu movie I never saw, but now that I’ve seen it, let’s just say I’ve seen it, lol funny stuff.

I haven’t seen Shaolin Soccer. I just watched the trailer. It looks just as crazy as Kung Fu Hustle.

The Matrix has got some awesome kung fu. I was blown away the first time I watched it.
