So you manly bastards, have any of you made your own cutlery before?

I’ve just got started this year and this is my second attempt at it.

Its just a basic pig sticker, made out of mild steel and has hardly any edge to speak of, but i’, just practicing for when I get my hands on some better steel. making mistakes here is cheaper.

and as a bonus its pretty well balanced. pretty great for two days of work.

    That’s actually pretty cool!

nice balance on it it seems. I don’t know much about knifes, seems like a good general purpose knife (from balance and blade shape). Good to slice, stab, throw, do miniature work and chop something small maybe etc.

not talking about steel, just from design itself.

    very cool man !

Good going! I’ve seen some beauties at craft fares and gun shows. I look forward to seeing yours someday soon.

That brings to mind another hobby, making, knives, spear points, and arrowheads from flint. I’ve seen them at craft fairs too.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I was thinking of trying to make one from and old file, I have seen a few and it makes sense to me since the tempering is already done. It would make the job easier and cut down the learning curve. Posted this before I saw what you said DOH!
