So, KM and I had an offline discussion about the thread I started a few days ago, entitled “How to Beat Your Wife”, where I posted a link to a video of a Muslim Holy Man in the forest discussing the topic from his Islamic perspective, trying to give advice to Islamic men.
I think there was a lot of misinterpretation on both sides, with some folks thinking I was posting to promote violence against women. I replied by stating I thought the video was funny, which only further incensed the men in the forum.
The thread devolved into an attack-fest (with me included). I thought certain folks misinterpreted my intentions, and I got defensive, so I went a little Alpha on some folks. When I logged on later and saw what had transpired, I began writing a reply to try to diffuse the situation. Unfortunately, as I was writing, I was simultaneously being flushed into the gynocentric toilet bowl like a twice-used tampon, and my reply was blocked when I tried to post it.
I would like to avoid that here, as I am still wiping the goop off my body.
Distraught, I reached out with the contact form, and KM replied that it was a rough three days of site-attacks from shills and baiters. I hadn’t been on this site for about a year, and apparently I was stepping into a hornets nest due to the attacks from feminists, so I guess everyone was on high guard.
The video itself was actually about avoiding violence in a marriage, and only toward the last few seconds did the man say that if a husband does hit his wife, it should be with something the size of a toothpick. Then the video cuts off.
I did think the video was funny (and still do). For one thing, it’s not my language or culture, and the whole situation, the holy man in the forest wearing a white towel-robe, sounding like Admiral Ackbar (from Star Wars), taking the situation so seriously, looking like he was levitating above ground, with all the different camera angles… With all our “How To” instruction videos (you know, from KipKay, etc…) the very notion of an instruction video on “how to beat your wife” was so off the beaten path, and it took itself so seriously, that I found it funny, in a non-sequitur way.
Well, it didn’t get interpreted that way.
I was very surprised at the way the thread devolved. I thought some of you were being a little tight on me. In my defense, I just watched a video in another thread, of a real cat being shot to death, in slow motion, posted by one of the individuals who had been pretty hard on me in my thread. I love cats. There’s a special place in my heart for cats. I’m the cat-whisperer.
So I could be tight and complain that we shouldn’t post videos illustrating animal abuse, etc… On the other hand, if the cat was stealing chickens…f~~~ ’em.
So, I hope you can understand my perspective on thinking the video was funny, and I really was curious if someone could find the second part, since I was unable. Otherwise, please at least understand that I have a different perspective, and people do have differing perspectives, and that I was not intending to promote violence, so please give me the benefit of the doubt, just as I would give someone the benefit of the doubt on posting a video of real animal violence.
If you weren’t privy to the “How to beat your wife” thread, sorry I just wasted ten minutes of your life. If you were, I hope we can come into alignment and sorry for any offense I have caused.
I don’t want to censor anyone’s speech here, and I would hate to have mine censored, since this is pretty much the only place on the planet where we can talk about certain things, like where to find a good Thai hooker.
This is KM’s site, and I want to follow the man’s rules, and I think we had a good back and forth, and I thank him for that, and for opening the septic tank allowing me to crawl back in.
