The Japanese are getting fed up quick. I wouldn’t be surprised if they take matters into their own hands and start lobbing missiles of their own.

I would not be surprised if Japan is letting it out….quietly…to certain countries…that they are looking at starting up a nuclear program themselves.

I wouldn’t be so sure. They have a collective memory of having nukes dropped on them.

If this will be used as an excuse for SK and Japan to re-arm, then China will be forced to intervene, they really don’t want that.

I’m pretty sure the consensus is “as long as they don’t hit anything” then it’s just an empty threat. Starving them out is still a viable strategy, but China has to be on board. Most of this is China’s fault.

Right. Unfortunately, once they DO hit something, while it may be easy enough to wipe them off the face of the earth, it’ll be too late for their unfortunate target.

All well and good having the ballistic capability to accomplish medium to ICBM range, but they’re useless without a decent nuclear warhead on them. Right now they just might be able to hit Hawaii with a missile that does this on impact:
