So, my only begotten son is about to graduate from a military college. He is commissioning into the Infantry. When he first decided to go this route, I decided I wanted to get him something really special for graduation. He’s a bit of a “gear guy” so I finally settled on getting him a Killin’ Knife.
I looked around a bit. I was thinking a K-Bar, but that is really a Marine thing. This was before the totally awesome “Forged From Fire” show. Anyway, through some recommendations, I settled on a Randall Made knife. It was a four year waiting list and I just received it. It is AWESOME!
If you’re into this sort of thing, you should check these guys out. I appreciate quality craftsmanship. I hope he won’t need to use it for it’s intended purpose (use a knife to get to a gun!), but if he needs it, it “will kill.”
Anonymous54Just looked at their Knives. Theyre beautiful.
lazy bastards like me need a link to see those knives…
hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
i really do.
searching for them is too much effort.
i shoveled snow for half the day…
.
will say a prayer for your son.
god protect him!Ask and ye shall receive.
Anonymous42I got me an 18″ dual razor edge stainless steel dagger killing knife I sleep next to!
If it’s long and sharp enough to go out the other side, it’s a real good KILLING KNIFE!
I sleep next to!
Less dangerous than sleepin’ next to a woman!
Anonymous7Jezus dude you are killing me, what model didja get your boy?
BTW, what an awesome gift for a proud father to give to his son.

Amen!!!

I got him a Model #1. It was their original design from WWII. I thought that would be a cool tribute. Also, very kick-ass. I even had the family name stamped on it.
Thanks for the props, brother. I’m damned proud of him.

This one?
Very, very nice. That f~~~er looks like it would cut a shadow.I’m damned proud of him.
I bet.
This is one of mine. Lovely bit of gear.

7″ Blade, Full Tang. The blade is razor sharp on all along the bottom as well as the top 3 inches. Hilt is double Brass. Handle wrapped in leather. Cool touches of Red, White, and Blue wraps at the base plate and at the hilt.
My son’s only complaint may be that the handle MAY Be too rounded for his hand. Or maybe not. Fortunately, if he can ever get away from Ft. Benning for a long weekend, he can head to Orlando and see if they can remake the handle to his hand. I’m sure that they can do so for a couple of bucks. Hell, maybe he’ll just like the damned thing the way it is. Anyway, someday, over a ton of beers, I hope that the blade will have some stories to tell the “old man”.
I’m somewhat tempted to keep it. Maybe I just save up and get a matching one of my own. There is fun in NFG Freedom.
Postwar Fairbairn-Sykes Commando. A custom designed and well tested killing blade.
Like MGTower, I sleep next to it.

Ah, yes. The Fairbairn. Excellent knife. I believe that it developed by a British Detective in China and later used by the American China Marines as additions to their kit/gear. Wonderful history! Many a chinaman felt his life depart on the piece.
Great find.
Ask and ye shall receive.
Very nice!!!
