I stopped opening doors for women 15 years ago because for 30 years if I did 50% of the time I was called a “Male Chauvinist Pig”….so now I don’t. Now I’m just called rude, inconsiderate, insensitive…because not only do I not open doors for women I close the doors behind me before they can get through (as I’m a MCP anyway-I might as well act the part)..

I do open doors for men, older folks, people that really need help…

This is why white knights are the worst enemy that we men have to face. Only a complete mangina would shoot a man for not opening a door for a woman. Personally if i was the guy who got shot dead id try to grab the woman and restrain her so the mangina shoots it hits her instead of me.

I no longer hold doors for women and let them enter before me. I’m the man, I’ll go first. But I don’t let doors slam shut on anybody after I walk through.

One time I was standing outside the UPS Store having a smoke when I saw a guy approaching with a huge box, so I opened the door for him. He was in complete shock, and thanked me like I saved his life or something. It’s probably the first time anybody has ever opened a door for him. A woman would have just stood there and watched him struggle to get through the door while she pondered the shininess of her fingernails. Stupid c~~~s.

I have held open doors countless times for both men and women and have never received a negative response. Almost every person, women and men, has thanked me. I know negative responses happen but I guess I have been lucky.

I think I will keep doing it because it makes me feel good. Not sure why but it does. I do have some mental health issues sometimes so maybe it is insecurity, neediness, not sure. I’d like to think it is kindness but I am not so sure. Oh well.

I MOSTLY stopped 30 years ago for the SAME Reason; when I was a college student. Now I hold the door open for elderly people; otherwise for women…I let it slam shut on them; they would treat me no differently so f~~~’em.
